Am wondering if your char's name has a reference or meaning or even a story behind it, if you do please share it:D
I know of some of them but they are just rumors until proven by the right source of information.
I mean c’mon as Clare you know from the name it’s going to be very very nice class and even nicer spec to run around with holy main spec and disc off spec I mean most mobs are just giving away the loot items and go off looking for a real fight where they can die honorably:angry:
From a young age I was known as switch. Not for good reasons really....
I was, how to put it...abit mental. 1 min happy, next sad, happy then angry. You get the point. Don't know what triggered it really, it happened.
It was like flicking a switch on and off to different emotions, hence Switch.
Later on in life, at college I enjoyed my time as a young single lad with 1 thing on my mind. Then I met the mother of my children.
The 1st year we were together I kept splitting up with her as I didn't want to be "tied" down. I always went crawling BACK to her though lol.
So my pals put them together....
"Oh he's switchedback again"
Switchback was born :p

haha nice and very true :norty:
My first character in wow was called pixie, which is a RL nickname - not sure why really, as I am so un-pixie like :) but I think it came from my younger years when I was a little imp'ish to say the least :D. My second character was ayla, who was a healer as is my shaman and her namesake comes from a book series by Jean M Auel - Earths Children books (Clan of the Cave Bear). My latest addition to my characters is Zolena, who was Ayla's spiritual mentor :) I have a whole bunch of other characters whose names are taken from Greek Goddesses, and one whose called patchouli - mainly because patchouli is my favourite herb and scent.
I have a few characters. Swedeguy is actually my fourth created and the name came from total brainblock when coming to the "Name" part. So for lack of better things: Swedeguy since I am swedish. Then he became my main toon ever since. Go figure.
Pastorn, my priest is a little closer to home, my fifth toon created but it is, (was rather), my nickname during youth. Translated it's Reverend. Comes from one of my classmates that thought I had the highest grade in religion history, (wich I didnt). But everybody liked the name, (apart from me), so it stuck. :ranting2:
/Mats
Reverend Swede.
I like it!

had a pack off hubbah bubbah chewing gum on my desk when i made the char ...
:roflmao:
Well, when I started playing my warrior back in the old days my name was Hyunkil which refers to a superhero in animation I was addicted to watch.
Hyunkil is just a human who has some sort of special blade and once he raises the blade, the blade will transform into a fancy armor plate like in this picture:
At that time, I was playing in Arathor server then I moved to Aszune and sadly I couldn't find the name :(
So I started to to look around for a new name that describes my warrior skills and BAAM! I found Guru!
Since then my nickname has been changed to Guru.

I guess I'm lucky not to have a toon called 'DietCoke'........:roflmao:
When I created my first toon the name 'Tealeaf' was already taken, so I did a play on my original Counterstrike name [TEA]Leaf and took the TEA and added to it the fact that my first toon was female and ended up with: Tea-elle
The rest of the Teae* toons followed the same theme.
Tlbank - well you can figure that one out for yourself.
I have some Bablylon 5 sourced names for characters too: Vaylen, Zhadum etc
A white appliance name: Maytag (the make/manufacturer of my fridge) for my shaman
Several translated descriptor names:
-Asesinato (spanish for murder- Rogue)
-Malmuerte (spanish for bad death - DK)
-Eloso (Spanish for the Bear - Feral Tank Druid)
-Orst (Norwegian for initial as it was my first ever warrior)
-and for my mistweaver monk: Karuna (from the Bhudhist concept of the fundamental compassion for all life)
....and that's as many as I can remember.
haha yes could certainly be exciting if we all just named our char for what else was on the table the day we started a new one, my druid named Senon, the meaning of the name Senon is in Spanish, the name Senon means Lively. my priest called real Sc which is just initials for my rl name very simple and SMIZ came because I have a shamnan called Smizz, but amazing how much some people have thought about their char name, my boys named one of my char when they lived home Gniske which in Danish means the grumpy old man, the char is now on standby:)
Adlitam....
My daughters name backwards....
Switchbeau.... My hunter. Beau was the ex's name. Went well with a hunter I thought.
Moonslash the drood. No idea just a random name.
Switchnsour the panda.... I think you should be able to work that out :p

sneakytiger is my xbox live tag so hence the name , used to be called kracau that goes back to my very first d&d charcter.
drizzit is from a series of books i used to read when i was younger.
Got many characters, and usualy I stare at the "name" section for...many minutes, sometimes I just can't come up with a name, and in some cases I can make up a name in an instant!
But here goes:
Nemesizz (ud warlock), Nemesizz is pretty much my internet nickname for many things, which started with Warcraft 3. Nemesis was already token, Nemesiz as well...so I came up with a double Z and have used it ever since.
Shadowsong (ne warrior), big fan of NE in warcraft 3, and Shadowsong was a name that came up a couple of times with the NE's (storywise it was Maiev, but random battles you also had Shadowsong as name for demon hunter heros)
Naevryl (ne dr00d), was gonna try Avril but I figured that name was propably token (the rock-chick, but also the Anti Vehicle Rocket Launcher from Unreal ), so had Navril, but that didn't look too elvish (she started on a RP-realm before transferring her to Aszune), so made it Naevryl instead.
Darkstar (ne Priest), typical "I can't come up with a name" name...Was thinking about my new inspiration names (Steelmender, Steelbender, Steelbreaker) only to figure out that I already used those names...on Aszune on my trial account....wooops, so staring at the "name" box first thing coming to mind was the space-ship from Doom 3...which happens to be Darkstar.
Rhaines (tauren hunter), named kinda after Memphis Raines (or however you spell it) from 'Gone in 60 Seconds' , had a cat pet for a while named Memphis (that was untill I got Ishura the spider, for those interested, Ishura means spider in Darnassian ^^)
Meedsh (troll mage), the way you say 'mage' in Dutch made it when my brother made Rooq the rogue
Stacyx (be rogue), was going to do xstacy, but I figured someone would complain about it (z0mg XTC!!!), so made it Stacy-X, but a '-' isn't allowed so it became StacyX.
Stratton (ud DK), my brother made Briggs, I made Stratton (both DK's), so we had Briggs&Stratton, for all you gardeners out there, B&S make lawnmower engines (and man do I LOVE the sound of a B&S Vanguard V2 engine).
Curseader (be pally), Curse Aider (helping with curses? ), but most people just see Crusader It was a kind of RP-char (even though not on RP realm), was supposed to be totally evil paladin. Got the title Crusader, so it's Crusader Curseader
Tripod (tauren shammy), was a Dranei at first, but back then elemental was a pain to level because there weren't +spellpower items in the <60 range, so I deleted it, and during (I thinks WotLK) I re-made a shammy but this time horde, anyway it was named after the laser shooting monsters/units from Command and Conquer 3 (scrin faction). Pretty much again a "I have no idea name, so let's call it after something from another game/movie".
Like said, got a trial account as well (so I can still play wow without paying), and use names like Steelmender, Steelbender, Steelbreaker there....why? no idea, just first thing that came up (using Steelbender in Diablo as well)
as you know, hermioneg is my only character, and is also the first.
before wow, I was playing a free game called rakion, and I was using a mage. then I tried wow and I fell in love, but I didnt know anything about the game, I chose the mage as in the old game. The night before I had watched one of the chapters of harry potter, then I wanted to call my new mage hermione but it was already used, I added the G of Granger so hermioneg
