With the launch of the 5.4 patch some new raiding options will become open to DMR members. When the patch goes live, in addition to the normal LFR & Normal/Heroic mode raid locks, there will be a new option: 'Flex Raid'.
Flex Raid will be open to a pre-made group of betwen 10-25 people and the boss HP, damage etc will scale in accordance with how many people are in the raid.
-the overall difficulty of the Flex raid will be somewhere between LFR and Normal mode raids
-the ilevel of loot will be greater than LFR, but less than that dropped in Normal mode raids
-the Flex Raid is on a separate, third raid id (so you could do LFR, Flex & Normal/Heroic in the same week)
Regular DMR Flex Raid
DMR intend to run a guild Flex raid once per week, perhaps on Friday evening. It will be open to all Guild members (ie both RGT & Social members). The guild Flex raid will primarily be a social raid, to have fun, but that also means it will be run as a raid so that you can have fun whilst also achieving some raid success, so that means:
-you bring food, flask & pots
-you know your toon (not just how to login, but how to play it to a decent raid standard!)
-you show up at the raid having done some prior research and know something about the fights (don't expect to be spoonfed as it's not a fair use of the your fellow raiders' time!)
-we'll post logs on our World of Logs web page for your information after each raid, just as we would for an RGT raid
-you play your main toon (alts might eventually be allowed, but we want to *progress* each week, not gear different toons each week on the same few bosses)
**if you bring a scrub toon without enchants, without gems, without effort then expect to be excluded from the DMR Flex raid**
We have not yet decided who will run these raids, but we will be asking people to help out to lessen the load on officers. Please do your best to help out if asked.
Certainly in the early weeks we expect to see a large number of RGT raiders taking advantage of this opportunity to get higher ilevel gear and additional encounter experience, so it is a good chance for Social members to get some good raid experience alongside our regular raiders.
Impact on RGT Recruitment
For those interested in raiding within DMR as part of RGT, please continue to let Officers know of your interest. However with Flex raiding you will now have a tool through which you can gear up, obtain better encounter knowledge and regularly demonstrate to Council your raid potential & capabilities. This will help both members and Council decide who is capable of exceeding the minimum standards required for an RGT raid spot.
We hope this announcement is warmly welcomed and look forward to seeing you to the first DMR Flex Raid after the 5.4 patch goes live.

It should be worth noting that the 5.4 Raids will unlock gradually as so:
LFR Mode will open the first wing on the 2nd week of 5.4 (Not set in stone)
Flex Mode will open the first wing on day 1 of 5.4
Normal Mode will be fully clearable on day 1 of 5.4
Heroic Mode will be fully clearable on the 2nd week of 5.4

I would of loved to of helped out and get bk into raiding with DMR but I know there are some underlying issues due to my behaviour in the past.

Item Level requirement to enter the Siege of Orgrimmar LFR is supposedly going to be 496.
Also, I'm very likely going to be gearing my Warrior, with running Flex in mind, after it becomes obsolete for my Mage, to keep helping people see the content in a social and meaningful way within the Guild.
Sounds good, plus this will give us a leg up for normal progress and bring heroics sooner :)
finally ... still 3 weeks of waiting .. so if there were 13 or 14 or 16 people who want to participate in the raid, we can do it, I sign for every Friday ;D

I'm with the class that is missing, DPS, heal or ooo if nothing else tank. Priest heal will still be my main ready to raid.

Before we start planning which alt we go with, let's remember this might well provide gear upgrades for mains and experience of the main fight mechanics in a new instance, so we'll be focusing on mains so that we attain the required level & rate of progress. Once we have cleared and it is all LOLmode then we can consider alts. We are not going to be doing this for wipefests with under-geared toons though, this will be run as a raid-proper.
We will be dipping our toe into this tomorrow night (friday). First pull 21:00 Finish 23:00 game time.... Be online in time and bring beer :)

Great fun yesterday, managed to clear 8 bosses this time, so the first two wings are now being farmed reasonably quickly. Before we make the decision to move onwards into Past III or Part IV of the instance though we need to quite significantly increase our dps, so if you are joining our Flex raids let's see what we can do to do be prepared and ready to meet the more difficult challenges in the last two parts of the instance!

i know my dps was bad last night so i'm gonna work on ways of making sure that i'm casting at the right time and in the right order, also i'll get my gear up a bit .
i don't want to let u down or be the person that stops the raid from finishing a boss off,so i'll stay off flex till i can sort it out, its no fun for me if i cant preform.

Personally I do not recognize what your dps was during Friday's flex raid, think really we only had a combination of players myself inclusives with Kesharr my DK who just did not have the necessary dps and then have a sense that if you have itlvl 500 + and want to gear up and get a chance to improve your game then our flex run the right place to do this :)
So do not give up Sneakytiger take some LFR raid sometimes flex run then you soon at the top of dps :)

Sorry, I don't agree. LFR is the place to do this and once your healing/dps and gear level is up a bit THEN Flex is the place to go. We have a lot of players that do Flex every week with an ilvl of over 530 and we keep having to do the first couple of sections due to people with low ilvl and dps.
Keep in mind that LFR gives i528, so I agree with Whitey here. Sneaky has the right idea, going LFR to gear up a bit and to work on rotation and then to move into Flex when it is more suitable gear-wise. I sent Sneaky some warlock tips too, hope they helped! :thumbsup:

Yes sorry must have misunderstood the whole thing, I think at some point heard something about itlvl 500 for our flex raid then obviously be an old man's hearing is failing here, and when all of these complaints is over, I thought to still flex raid could be a good place to improve his game get as I see already happening get advice from people with more experience, which I of course in my ravings also writes take some LFR to improve gear :)
But all in all, my mission was really giving a friendly nudge in the right direction, so again have a wonderful Christmas :)

As blood I'd start off with Outbreak, 2x Heart Strike and 1x Death strike. It's hard to set a rotation for blood, since you'll want to keep your death strike until they have the most potential healing (you're going to get the full heal, they have a lot of stacks (although many stacks are not necessary), and you're going to take a big hit). At the same time though you want to not be wasting resources, which means blood tap stacks, runic power, and runes - so it's a balancing act of getting the most bang for your buck in terms of death strike and still making sure that you're always able to regain all your resources.

Thanks for flex yesterday people was fun, had to pug 1 so lets get a full guild run for next week! Also try and do lfr before friday so you get more gear and improve even more! And ofc if you got questions about your class or need help learning something I'm sure there is help in the guild all you have to do is ask!
