So this particular MMORPG snuck under my radar and i was just wondering if anyone here has played it or had a chance to see it?
my younger brother playes it looks good graphics are very top end tho.
aye ive seen them on youtube etc, the detail and graphics are excellent, only downside is you would need a proper rig like ours (DMW community) to get best out of it etc
u need at least a ati 7950 to get the most out of it.
I might pick this up, have been considering getting guild wars 2 but this might be more interesting
still playing starwars jan?
No haven't played that in ages. Just haven't seen a reason to update my Sig
i may get ffxiv:rr or might wait for eso (elder scrolls online)gonna try it at eurogamer expo.
I have bought it and created an Archer on the server Phoenix. Haven't done anything in game yet other then go through cut scenes and movement and picking up quests tutorials. Will play later tonight.

Let us know how it feels, interested in picking it up myself!
I have played up to level 10 now and here are some thoughts on the game so far.
Things I really like:
- No looting, this is most likely done to make PS3 play easier but I like that all items go automatically into the inventory even though it isn't very immersive.
- Bag system. you have your standard inventory that has almost only crafting supplies and consumables, you start with 7 bags I think and I haven't filled the first one even though I barely use anything and haven't sold anything. Then you have your own quest Item bag that is easy to switch to from any tab in normal inventory. All equipment is stored in something called the Armoury, every equipment slot has its own 25slots where the gear is stored for that slot. If you pick up the item that is equipped it automatically opens the armoury at the page that item is from. I don't think there is any bank system but there is a mail system that I believe you can send items with.
- Graphics. I like the graphics even though they are very standard Japanese/anime and while there is a decent amount of flashy effects on skills an enemy abilities they aren't as bad as I was expecting and most places I have seen them they are very helpful, most notable is a red ground effect that shows where enemy AoE is comming.
- FATEs, if you played Warhammer online or guild wars 2 you know these and most likely loved these type of places. They are basically public quests that pop up all over the place where anyne can just walk into the zone and start attacking mobs. My only problem with them so far is how quickly the reward screen disappears and I haven't found a logg for it.
- Hunter log, this is something I was informed of early in the tutorials but didn't check until at the end of my play session yesterday. It basically is a running quest where you get a small XP bonus for killing 4 of a NPC type. Then if you finish everything on the page you get a relatively big XP reward. This is basically a long running quest that you constantly have and gives XP without any quest giver interaction.
- Traveling system seems very good though I haven't gotten much testing out of it so far. You have so called aether stones that you can pay to teleport between them. I have only main town and 1 outside of town so far. You select one as your home stone and you have a 15min CD teleport back to that stone. You can also set 3 stones as favorites that have half the cost to teleport to. Inside the town you also have smaller stones that you can use to teleport to diffrent locations in the town though you have to have been to the stone and attuned to it first.
- You are not rooted down or cancel casting when moving, atleast not as ranger so you can kite while attacking rather well.
Things I didn't like:
- There was a lot of running around, deliver this, fetch this, gather this quests in town to start with and even the quests I was doing at 7-9 were usually 2 kill quests 3 quests go to this spots and pick up this or deliver this.
- Loading times seem to be rather long when changing zones, not horribly long but noticeable.
- Item mouse over isn't very well explained and there is a lot of information on it.
- When handing in a quest that involves items, you have to actually drag the item over to a hand in screen and hand it over.
- There doesn't seem to be a lot of customization for the characters stats. So far I only have 3 ability points gained at level 10 and what I have read is basically put everything into DEX as an archer.
I can't really comment much on the combat system yet at only level 10.
- I started with a simple heavy attack.
- Got a new ability at level 2 that increased crit chance for 20seconds with slightly lower damage.
- Got a 20 second instant buff that is on a 3min CD at level 4.
- At level 6 I got a low damage attack with a DoT
- At level 8 I got an instant Execute ability.
- At level 10 I got a 10second CC ability.
At level 8 I got my first passive trait that gives my first ability a 20% chance to make my level 2 ability have 100% crit chance on last shot.
They are very basic skills and easy to see shot rotations at such an early level. I have only once been out of resources to attack with and that was where I was alone with a second archer in a FATE where there was just one boss for the first 5minutes. I start with just constantly shooting while standing still, then the other archer died and I had to kite alone for a while until the archer and a few more people came to help. Else I have barely had to look at my resources though I have died twice, once a big group aggroed on me that I wasn't expecting to attack me and the second was just me not paying attention since I didn't have to generally to my health. Regen is relatively fast especially out of combat and not a lot of damage is being dealt out early on. I have to pay some attention now at the later levels but it is kill 3-5 mobs autoregen and if I spent more time kiting I could most likely kill constantly without break. I assume these things will change, while I have been able to kite I have still generally taken some damage.
I haven't grouped up with anyone or tried other classes so can't comment on that though I believe there is an instance at level 15 that is required for the main storyline.
I also watched the video below before I started playing so can't comment on how the english voice over is.
Have u tryed using a Xbox controller with it?,also were all kind of spoiled over the yrs by wow's excellent gameplay .
My bro's played it for yrs and enjoyed it ,I think it's like a lot of mmo's u get out what u put in.
I hate Analog sticks on Gamepads and would there for never use one when I have other alternatives.
I haven't played much farther in the archer but after finishing the level 10 Archer quests I could join other classes/professions so have tried the crafting and gathering skills. The crafting isn't extremely innovative though I do like how you can take risks to increase the chance of higher quality items. I really like the gathering system, I am a botanist and so far I have only gotten to level 6 with it giving access to only 1 type of tree but each tree has a different resources with different difficulty of harvesting, each tree gives you 4 tries to get resources and you can get 4 unique ones or just 4 of one type from the tree. You locate trees that are harvest-able and these are unique for you, 3 people can be harvesting from the same tree because of this if each of them got that tree as harvest-able.
The way classes work is you change what class you are based on what your main hand weapon is and with a good item set HUD it is easy to switch between them changing to crafting gear, gathering gear or combat gear quickly.
Currently level 12 archer/10 leather worker / 6 botanist and will be picking up carpentry as well.
i'm in the game now have a lvl 8 lancer , what server u on m8?
