Can I be arrested for talking to my watch Dick Tracy?
Clip this coupon for free x-ray glasses...does it come with the James Bond Choker? (the wire in da watch)
Speak into your wrist, shouldn't affect your driving, unless you're in a turn.

I've worn a watch for a few years now, and have liked the idea of a smart watch, but that is too expensive and offers too little. I also doubt I'll have a Samsung phone next time I upgrade. It's got too much bloatware and other annoyances, if it's the same with a watch it'd be unbearable.
Been keeping an eye on this for a while.

I have had one of these (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Motorola-Motoactv-Fitness-Tracker-Premium/dp/B0071JSRL2) for a year now and its pretty useful. it runs full android after i hacked it and has WIFI, GPS, Bluetooth and a headphone jack.
I mainly use it at the gym and on my bike as i have a cadence sensor and Heart rate monitor for it. Its a godsend while traveling on planes and trains for music and browsing etc.
I can take calls on it and get notification from my phone.
I don't see why there is a bug fuss about these when they have been out for years TBH.

What's the battery life like? The idea of my watch running out of juice does not appeal.
Wearable technology is probably the future, but it's very early days. There are too many issues with Samsungs product to make it onto my shopping list. Plus having a watch mimic something that is just in my pocket seems like technology looking for an application.

One thing to mention first off is that this is old tech, the MOTO ACTIV has been around for about 2-3 years so its a dinosaur.
Just as a watch it lasts a week between charges. If you flick your wrist and then move it up to waist height the screen automatically comes on so the screen is off most of the time.
At the gym, connected to my Heart rate monitor and with it playing music its can last about 5-8 hours. With the screen on continuously you will only get about 5 hours out of it.
Out on my bike with bluetooth sync on with my phone for phonecalls and notifications, GPS, Caidence and Heart rate monitor it will last a pretty long ride even with the screen on for all of the time. I would say 5 hours ish.
Its a pretty useful bit of Kit and will worth the £80 from John lewis I paid for it with the freebies of the bike mount etc.
More gadgets and tech please ;D
