Title: TweakTown Are Catching Us!
Post by: TeaLeaf on December 18, 2003, 05:01:32 PM
The dMw Folding@Home team is currently moving up the world rankings at an impressive rate, but a team we overtook about a month ago is now closing in on us again and catching us!

Tweaktown (of tweaktown.com fame) is not far behind and folding at a slightly higher rate.

So we need more members to join the team and run the F@H client on their computers to earn the team points!

Anyone can join the team and there are instructions here (http://forum.deadmen.co.uk/index.php?act=ST&f=41&t=2890&st=0#entry27440) for those who want to participate.  So come and join Team 33597 and fold for Dead Men Folding :D

Download the client, input your details and our team number 33597 and then I'll look forward to welcoming you to the team when your first points appear on our scoreboard :D

I have 2x70 point WU's sat  on a Linux server but because of a 'known' issue with linux console they never actually transmitted their data and the queue info has been wiped!
:(

Also if you Borg machines at work and they fail to xmit out,

1. Zip up the directory.
2. bring it home and unzip into a new folder.
3. bung the windows console client in there.
4. run it with the "-send all" option and watch those muthas go!

Work for me, only problem is that most of the machines at work are snail pace and aren't worth Borging.  As soon as they bring out the Solaris client I can bung it onto a few E10K and F15K domains!  :D

An HP-UX client would be nice but I doubt they ever will.  :nevermind:

Great tip Liberator.  I have copied the info to the Folding section.

BFC, did you get a chance to check if that quad xeon is working yet?  Doesn't appear to be registering on the scoreboard.......

it's working, but only on one processor. not close to it at the moment to set another 2-3 services up and define processor affinity. One's better than nothing though.

Nice one Duvel, you'll really notice the difference in your points score with them running 24/7.  :D

Will see, the one at my work isn't that fast tho. The one at home a bit faster and the one that's borged at a friends house can't be on all the time (dunno why). My brother doesn't use his comp that much so it's still at 40/500     Still gotta borg my twinbro's comp and my nephew his.
