I finally got Arma III. I'm downloading from Steam as we speak.
I have played Op. flashpoint and Arma before. I'll have a go at the official campaing during christmas, and then I'll join you guys for some military action later on.
No, I'm not quitting BF4, just getting some variation :-)

Not sure what the state of our server is like right now, but it would be good to run some missions over Christmas.
It's up and runing at the moment on BA4, but obviously in the near term we'll be replacing it with BA5.
Going to have a crack at the first part of the single player games that arrived recently . DLC that you get for free! What are they thinking!

Have only tried the game a short while (an hour or so). BUT.... it seems a bit too slow for me. Maybe I am more of a BF4 guy after all. BUT, I will give it a bit more time, don't worry. Then I'll get back to you.
bf4: arcade shooter
arma 3: miltary simulation
in arma 3 u get shot in the chest u get dead
bf4 u can be shot multiple times before dying.
Cool hand join us on a Sunday normally and the game is so much better working together but yes the is slower but you can do so much more.

Yeah, I know. Just trying to see if I like this at all. I wll play the dlc a bit more, to get accustomed to the key setup at least.
doing the bootcamp missions is a good way to start
theres lots of keys to master.
Done some missions, around 8-10. Keys are OK. BUT.... this is too slow for me, and too unforgiving.
Was worth a try, but it is not for me.
I'll stick to BF4 (and, occasionally, BF3)
you need to try this multi player mate, its way better in mutiplayer!

Come and join us on Sunday and see what you think mate it is as sulky says more fun in Multiplayer
It will take getting use to like any game but it's worth it
