I have a looming problem with one of my clients where a previously hard copy system (that worked seamlessly) will have to move to an email-based system. I will need to provide a the following each month to a varying number of different individuals:
-email (body text will be standard)
-some pdf attachments (which will be standard)
-a unique individual pdf attachment per recipient
I get the personalised pdf files from a third party.
I will provide the standard pdf and the email wording.
Yet another third party provides the recipient list.
And I want to do this through gmail.
Does anyone have any bright ideas as to how I would go about doing this? I've never done any sort of email-merge before, so I'm at ground zero on it right now.
Had a quick look around but never tried it before this seems a ok ish way of doing it, if you using Google drive.
Here is the link (http://www.labnol.org/software/mail-merge-with-gmail/13289/)

I *don't* have a way of doing it, so not sure what you mean Toby! I'm looking for some kind of automated process so that I will not need to create individual emails (it's not for spam purposes, it's a business need).

Ahah, a link added - thank you, I will take a look!
I use Sendblaster and have never had a problem but i've not used it to send personalised attachments.
Take a look at this page : How to use programmable tags for multiple automatic email merge file attachments and scripts (http://www.sendblaster.com/en/how-to-use-programmable-tags-for-multiple-automatic-email-merge-file-attachments-and-scripts)
Easy with MS Access and the Total Access Emailer plugin. http://www.fmsinc.com/MicrosoftAccess/Emails.asp
I've developed a customer service solution that emails personalised service reminders to customers with a personalised PDF voucher that they print out.
It does mean spending money to buy the software though! (Although if you have office pro, you'll have access already.)
