Dead Men Walking

When setting up the DMW organization on the RSI website I had to make a few snap decisions to make sure we got the DMW name tagged for us.   One of those decisions was the type of organization we were going to be.     I chose 'Casual', but could have chosen 'Hardcore' or 'Regular'.    Casual seemed right last night, but the more I think about it Regular might be a better choice.

What do people think?   Please vote and I'll amend the DMW RSI webpage as appropriate!

I voted Regular before reading OB's post. I've changed my mind, but can't change my vote.

I've voted for Casual, as per Oldie's reasoning :)

We can always set up a more dedicated group within the organisation for those who want it.

Seems Casual suits, so perhaps we stick with that for the moment.

Interestingly we're coming up as a 'Medium'-sized group in the search facility, but it would be nice on impossible to find us unless you knew the name as the search criteria combined with having to specify two specializations narrows the search field to an incredibly small window.

We're currently down as Exploration and Bounty-Hunting, this can be amended though but I grabbed those two at the start and you can only choose two, which restricts what we would usually do which is list the whole suite of activities.

'Social' is an interesting one, that describes us but it doesn't say what we'd do in-game for example!  But perhaps suits us better than any other?

Freelancing seems to cover a multitude of sins. I'm not quite sure what social is referring to? How do you do 'social' as an activity in game? Run a bar? If I had to pick to I'd go with Freelancing and Exploration. Yes we do Bounty Hunting but we also do trading, resources etc. So I would stick to the two broader generic activities. To me it says we don't do piracy /smuggling and we're not a military/security. We're something between the two???

That's the conclusion I reached when I chose the two we're currently using.

It's no biggie only that I think bounty Hunting is a bit specific and not something we're all planning on doing. I might dabble though :)

I have a few friends that would be interested to join a sub section of the organization. They're all up for exploration/salvaging work. But by and large, people will want to dabble in all kinds of things.

Sound great Galatoni, get them registered on the forum and we'll get them into the fleet!
