Luckily I managed to read this story on another proper news site. A Dr. is basically walking to the edge of his offline map in the hope of reaching the 'Far Lands', a place created by Notch. He's turned it into a You Tube vodcast where he walks and discusses topics often unrelated to Minecraft. So far he's covered 700km and recons he'll take 25 years to reach the edge of the generated map.
