Quote from: DICE General Manager Karl Magnus TroedssonTo thank you for your dedication and support, I’d like to announce the Battlefield 4 Player Appreciation Month.  Starting on Saturday, February 1, DICE is saying THANK YOU to all  players by hosting a month filled with fun community missions and daily  giveaways that you get just for jumping into a match.

When I say I frequently give up playing BF4 to play SIM CITY, then you know it’s bad.

In fact it is safe to say, that BattleField 4 is the most unstable  game I’ve ever bought. No other game has quite the same unforgivable  crash-to-desktop-over-time ratio that BF4 has clocked in it’s short  lifespan.

Yet with all the apology XP doubling, I’m level 40 on BF4 after ONLY  70h, yet it took 358h to make level 78 on BF3. My K/D is lower on BF4  (0.6) than on BF3 (0.7) a Score Per Minute (SPM) more than a hundred higher on BF4. So  either the game is dumbed down, or I’m suddenly a one-man-army. I’m  going with BF4 has been made too easy.

EA don’t “appreciate” me enough for some money back, so frankly  saying they’ll love me in the morning for the shortest month of the year  isn’t exactly blowing up my skirt!

This follows hot on the heels of EA claiming they won't screw up the soon-to-be-launched "Titanfall" because they've learned from BF4. Didn't they say the same about SIM CITY? But then, they only said they'd learned. They didn't say they had learned not to screw up a game launch. You'd think a $308M loss in Q3 of 2013 would be lesson enough.

Now, now. Just bend over and take it like the rest of us.
At least being an EA customer has taught me to always bring my own lube.

The uncomfortable truth is that BF4 is a pretty unremarkable game, over-priced and badly launched.

I gave it a fair crack, but have come away with a largely forgettable experience. Apart from the crashes, I remember those.

I will be busy this month playing the massive DOTA 2 update which Valve just gave me for free :)

I disagree..

While slightly overpriced, BF4 is very playable in my opinion. I agree with the speed of leveling (can't believe DuVeL is 110 already) but the game itself is good fun.

I rarely crash so perhaps it's down to your drivers or something else?

Same here, leveling is too easy.

At launch I had frequent crashes. But since they patched it I maybe had a few crashes, and I think my old graphics card was the most important cause of those crashes.
I haven't had a bf4 crash in weeks.

Yeah, to be fair to it I haven't had a crash in a long time, and do enjoy the game just fine...

I don't think I'm the only one - it's been quite widely reported that lots of players have had problems.

It's all objective at the end of the day. I'm glad you enjoy it, but it's not for me :)

Overpriced indeed, depending for me on upcoming add-ons though. And Aritthon, you are a one-man-army sometimes on our server as your the first one seeding it. :flirty:

Ranking up with all those battlepacks is actually quit easy. Just use them on a gamemode that is a bit more fast paced and make sure you have a SquadLeader that sets objectives.

I still enjoy the game, it is overpriced and EA's support and QC is p*ss poor, but mine keeps crashing on memory, reaches 98% pretty quick and forces me to quit before full system crash, seems to be a setup issue but many people have it and I only get it this and BF3 :(

You know that required XP pr increases as you get higher, perfectly normal used in other games too..

remember you get more points in BF4 then BF3, more things gives points. Hence the higher SPM.
