We still have a few unknowns, but this is what the DMW Fleet is currently looking like. I'm sure that by the time the game goes live we'll have more, but it's still a pretty impressive number of ships to launch with!

We should have four Constellations and four Auroras according to the player list.
Make them five Auroras once Tsuchino's application via the RSI page is accepted.
Must have miscounted, I got to 5 Aurora's this time (including those by deduction). Still don't know ships for Suicidal, Jamoe, Snooks or Milli, but the OP has been updated with the new graphic.

Can you imagine the entire fleet as a single squad exploring together? Perhaps we could sweep scan an entire system with a long line, grid by grid.

Well, the Starfarer will definitely come in handy when exploring, even though fuel sharing whilst moving is disabled.
The other big ships can also share fuel. Have an image in my head and logically it would end up with the tanker supplying the cargo carriers (Constellations and Banu), then the cargo ships transferring to the fighters. If I recall right, Constellations have 3/4 docking ports, no idea on how many ships can be docked at one go though.

Banu was a sale, not sure about the Starfarer, but could also have been a sale. There were also some Vanduul Scythes sold.
I am going to have a decal like this on the outside of my cockpit :) but with red strikes through the ships I shoot down :)
No, they're not a subscriber-only ship, they are ships sold for a limited period of time last year.
If you want one of these 'not currently on sale' ships (or you want a ship with LTI - which stopped on 26/11/13) then you can buy them on a secondary market. There's quite a few places you can buy previously sold ships as an RSI account let's you 'gift' a ship to another RSI account (see picture), so you find someone with the ship you want and then make a deal with them.

Wow! I'm blown away by how much this is coming along. I'm still trying to get my friends to stump up and get a ship before its too late. Any of you offer some advice? Threats? Larceny?
I think there will be more ships available at a later date, if you scroll back through the different funding goals then there's a queue of ships still under development. I'm particularly looking forward to the Anvil Carrack amongst others, the whole exploration and utility aspect is highly appealing. Buy now though and you get to melt the ship and swap it for a different one at a later date I'm guessing.
Think I need to get into this as well. It looks awesome! Not sure what I would fly though. Ghost, Tracker or Cutlass look interesting :)

I think at this stage it doesn't matter Vargen, all the ships we're talking about will most likely be replaced in-game ultimately, so anything will do!

Not quite sure what you mean, but the fleet graphic is produced on an independent website and not via RSI. I wish RSI did produce something like that though, it would be kinda cool.
In the organisation page there's two unlit links named Chart and Fleet View.
On the SC wiki, they are explained as follows:
Visual Chart â€" An interactive display showing all of your organization’s divisions, jobs and members.
Fleet View â€" See your group’s ships!
I thought that the graphic was being produced by the Fleet View link..

Not available as yet. Last time I saw an update on this CIG were working on things like hiding fleet views from non-org members etc.
I've bought the Aurora MR+ package as I think I know someone who will regret not getting a ship before all the slots were gone (less than 500 as I type).
If they don't want it then I'm happy for it to be a DMW reserve ready for when a member realises that they just might have missed the boat on this one :)

I've updated the current fleet list as best I can, but I still think we're missing several ships from the list as I count 44 ships but see 40+ members - and I know several members who have multiple ships! Hopefully the RSI Fleet tab will become activated soon and make this thread obsolete!

Yep, that's my thinking too. I melted my Aquila for the Reclaimer, on the basis that I'd end up with a Carrack too at some point. If it's very expensive, I might not bother. I can refit the Phoenix or pick up the DUR.

Seems we don't have many/any Torpedo boat/Anti cap ship types ? No Gladiators, Retaliators, even MIS Freelancers......i'm not sure if my theory is any good, but it seems like now we have an Idris & an 890 then the potential for Cap ship confrontations is possible and in that case we need some Anti Cap Ship .... ships ?
Feel free to rearrange my logic :D
I reckon we'll have plenty of time to gather them, either before launch or in-game.

This is true, i have a Lancer MIS & an LTI Aurora package & a bunch of store credits waiting to flourish into a Retaliator :norty:..... I was just wondering if anyone else was planning on acquiring one of any type ?

One of those MIS's is mine i believe, IF the Retaliator turns out like everyone sensible hopes (decent cargo and possibility to refit to anti-cap torpedoes), the MIS may go in part-ex for it, and like you I have a close eye on the Carrack, if that doesn't turn out as I hope then i'll probably go for an Aquia..... i'm NOT having more than 3 ships at PU Launch..... currently that 3rd is an M50 but racings not up my street now i've tried it so god only knows what that single seater will get CCU'd too !

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the rock/paper/scissors goes Idris/ Retaliator/Hornet(s) ? IDRIS will wreck fighters, but torpedoe ships pose a problem, but torpedo ships are not good vs multiple fighters.... That's right I think ?
Basically if we have some torpedo ships it keeps opposition cap ships honest and at a safe distance I think...
The 890 is interesting, it's certainly not underpowered on paper, I can see many "pirate" gangs getting there backsides kicked thinking its a soft target because it's "Luxury"... Especially if you can leave the 85x at home and squeeze a fighter in there instead :boxing:
This is true - hornets and MIS should be enough. Or would have been nice to get some better point defence in the Idris for torpedo's, but hey.
The 890 is no slouch, but as the stats stand the power plant is overly small. So it might not be able to run everything at once. Theory crafting here, but I suspect I'll have to take a lot of power from the engines just to keep the weapons and shields up.
Two bridges. Sounds to me like the whole ship will go into lockdown. The power to the hot tub would need to be cut.

I've been asked by a few people whether it would be possible to see who owns which ships. So I've made a change whereby you can say whether you're happy for your fleet to be made public or to stay private. You can change this using the button at the bottom of your ship list.
If you make your fleet public then it will only be viewable by logged-in DMW members on a ship-by-ship basis.
I've made my fleet public so you can see how it will work - simply hover your cursor over the ship names.
Please do not feel you have to make your fleet public. The choice is entirely yours.
