I've got too many cloud storage services at the moment so this is a kick to drop one of them. probably no worse than anyone else but bye bye Dropbox, hello simpler life.

I think Dropbox is one of the better ones I've tried.

Which have you used and which, then, is your preferred option? one of my clients wants a 100gb one but not sure what to steer them towards.

I've been using Backblaze (http://www.backblaze.com/) as a cloud backup solution and it's very good indeed. I imagine it would work pretty well as a file storage solution, unlimited storage and it's dead cheap.

I use Google Drive (15gb) for day to day use as it syncs with all my other Google stuff, Skydive (25gb) for dumping manuals, pdfs etc. Amazon Glacier for my long term photography backups

I personally think Dropbox is too good to drop.   Just use the opt out form and you're no worse than you were before they made the T&C change.  It's actually pretty damn decent of them to offer the option, most companies just make the change and don't give you the choice.

True but it's my smallest cloud storage service (4gb) and the Google Drive -  docs combo is very useful for me. I'm also not that impressed with the way they bull sh*tted everyone with the "it's really for your own good" excuse. I've too much stuff spread across Google, Box, Skydive, Adobe cloud, Amazon cloud, Amazon Glacier and Dropbox. Some consolidation is long overdue. Dropbox is nice but I don't see any stand out feature that puts it had and shoulders above the competition. I'm sure if I dug into the T&C's of some other providers I'd see worse, but their I came at the wrong time and the way they tried to lie to their users was pretty low. They deserve more than an opt out for that.
