Guys we are going to see if we can have a bash at Zeus on our server.
No guys please beawre that anyone taking on the role of Zeus has a huge learning curve so there will be some time where we are standing around.
Chat is cool, but if whoever Zeus is speaks or asks a question I would be very happy if you would all stop chatting so we can get grips with this.
I think 19:30 onwards.
Toby
Think i should be able to make it
One n00b signing up :D
Zues looks interesting. Too bad I can't join on wednesday.
I've been playing some arma3 today (king of the hill).
What's up with the fps? It's most of the times 25-30 fps.
With there being no MotoGP on Wednesday, I might be around.
I'm in.
im in :boxing:
I should be able to make that. Have we got any volunteers to be Zeus?

It's one of, if not the most demanding games you can throw at a PC. 30fps is not too bad but if you post your PC spec up along with your Arma settings (probably best in a separate thread), we might be able to offer you some tweaks to make things smoother.

Getting the idea of how being Zeus works, but how to incorporate it into a multiplayer environment is the next step.

Something weird happened tonight. I pointed my weapon at the enemy, pulled the trigger, and the enemy went down. That hasn't happened before.
Of course, this couldn't last. The game came up with yet another bug, causing me to get kicked off the server becasue of a file signature, so reinstalling now. Hopefully back up and running in two hours, but by then you lot will have gone :p
Enjoyed being Zeus, only thing I found hard was keeping up with you I.e. Getting the next task ready whilst keeping you occupied at the same time and also getting the balance right between not giving you enough to shoot at or giving you too much to the point you could rage quit. I felt quite restricted in the type of objective to give you too, might have to read up on them to use them properly as the only ones I seemed to be able to use was protect, liberate, attack and defend which arnt much different from each other
Moving the spawn points was a bit annoying at times too, as a lot of the time I forgot.......
Would like to see what it's like on the ground though.
Best bit was killing Toby with a lightning bolt hehe, sorry mate had to be done
mate you did well considering how new it is, I did feel like quitting at one point, but that wasnt due to what you did, it was the fact that I spawned died 4 times in 2 mins, 3 times while standing at eh ammo box at spawn. Also it felt like i was playing counter strike at one point, they could see and kill us, we couldn't see them. Just my opinion
I agree, while it was good fun it didn't feel much like Arma. The fact we could only re-spawn broke the team play IMHO and meant that quite often we were all running in different directions doing our one thing, well dying mostly but you know what i mean.
If we can get this to work with some of our own missions so we can use revive and VAS it would be much better. It could then be used to throw the odd surprise in here and there rather than running the whole mission on the fly. This would also reduce the problem Sparko had judging the Opfor forces to throw at us.

Think the best bit was before we started when Toby and i were stood at the spawn and it was a case of "Where's that whistling sound coming from?" BOOOM!! Nice Sparko, when you say, "Give us some mortars....."
