Title: Walkman technology introduced to today's kids

I think back to how cool I used to think my Walkman was.  Then I listen to these kids panning it.

But their music isn't anywhere as good as ours was though.

They should have used an early one without rewind and made them find a track, how many times did we go too far and have to take the tape out and FF it as a guess, then turn it over again to see if you'd done it.

And they used about 4 AA's that probably wouldn't last as long as a C90.

Then there were the portable CD players that you couldn't actually walk with because they would just jog all the time, even with the read ahead buffers.

Even Minidisc would look ancient to them.

The CD ones were called Discman.

The "walkman" I had was a Parasonic one, with orange foam headphones.  Their bloody wires were no good, no idea how many got busted when I forgot them on and falling asleep.
