It's where you'll find us when we're not on the forum!
Is this a good thing though?
Something I've noticed over the last few years with the rise of Facebook, Google+, etc, is the decline of postings on most of the forums I visit, and Deadmen is no different. Once busy forums are fragmenting into smaller groups off the forum, like newsgroups died when forums became popular.
It's useful when the forum goes down, but otherwise, the forum should be the only point of communication.
My 2c
It's predominantly a backup in case of service down time, like yesterday when TS went down it was used to notify, but it also provides a communication link when people are out travelling with its hangout facilities. It's not meant to be a replacement for the forum and never has been, which is why we don't pump loads of social media buttons into your face on this forum (all those options are turned off in our config).
The point of bumping it was to remind people it is there so that they can join the group in case we experience some down time.
