I tend to go to scan first for the bigger more expensive bits. In my experience they seem to have decent after (and pre-) sales support whereas the others are pretty anonymous.

Scan, Overclockers and Amazon get my recommendation.

I'd also highly recommend using http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/ - not only will it find you the best price, it can also warn you of any potential compatibility issues (motherboard's fitting into cases etc).

Most on my builds are usually made up from a selection of

scan.co.uk
aria.co.uk
novatech.co.uk
ebuyer.com

Ebuyer, overclockers and Amazon

I would settle on the parts you want, look for best price and take warranty and shipping into consideration.

If you want over priced, old technology and additional add ons that you didn't ask for I recommend PCWorld......

I buy from overclockers.co.uk

The customer support is a bit on the annoying side, but in the end you'll be served properly.
