This is something that I am seriously keen on and will probably buy to try. Should help loads with the control systems.

For $8 this might be a ton of fun!

That looks pretty cool......if it works well enough, might use the trial first see how I get on.
I tried something like this with Naturally Speaking and Star Trek: Bridge Commander a while back. It was pretty fun, when it worked. :)
I'll be trying it this week when I get some time, but it looks like it will simplify management of the control systems a lot. You can also configure the equivalent of a push to talk button so it only listens when you want it to.

Good find TL. Bought for less than a fiver.
I'm going to 'train it' to use on Live for Speed. Should stop me pressing the wrong keys whilst entering the pits for the speed limiter, brake balance etc.
Will be a godsend on SC for a dozy old fart like me, floundering for the correct keys.
that's pretty cool, can't help but feel you loose some time over just hitting a key.
Found this neat tutorial, though I'm still having difficulties as my PC doesn't understand scouse. :frusty:

This program is now operating extremely accurately, quickly and works seamlessly with the latest version of SC. Its easy to set up and add commands.
I am also using it on Live for Speed without problems.
You younger guys wont appreciate the satisfaction gained, to be able to issue a command and have a result without the dimming eyesight and the dreaded hand tremors bolloxing up the job completely.
Beside, I love shouting at the computer and have done for years, but now I get results and of course you get to choose the commands, which gives another avenue of enjoyment,
I shan't tell you what I shout to eject, but 'Lock on Tommy' in a Mancs accent presses the middle mouse button and the enemy is as good as toast.:yahoo:
lmao LOCK ON TOMMY !!!!! great work LD :)
I'm planning to get my config up and running properly this weekend. Been doing some quick stuff, but it awesome to have the game react to your voice commands, it's almost exactly like my children aren't.
can VA be used in a game like arma as well?
I should imagine it works in any game where you have to press keys or use mouse clicks,
it even caters for key combinations such as the one for boosting the forward shields on SC ;
'Press Left Ctrl+NumPad8 keys and hold for 1.5 secs all done with a quick call of 'Forward shields'.
You can write a profile for each game and the menu offers a list of all programs running on the PC, click on the one you want and thats it.
You can then enjoy chatting with your PC, but ensure family members know what you are doing to avoid the misinterpretation of whats happening.
My missus came legging it up the stairs on Thursday thinking I'd had another heart attack when all I was doing was swatting away the Vandull hordes.
She's been in training for the last 47years but still lacks a sense of humour.
Still trying to think if I need to use a 'hot' word for the commands. I'm tempted to not use one and use a push to talk button instead to activate its listening.

I've now completed a fairly comprehensive profile for Star Citizen. Its only 37kb so if anybody wants a copy, PM me with an email address.
Comes as a .vap file

Nice one matey. PM on its way :thumb:
Had a bit of a play today and I love it :D
I did have my usual 'gotcha' though. For some reason I have to run VA as administrator or push-to-talk doesn't work - same with TS.
Having tried various button/mouse push-to-talk combos I've ditched them and settled on preceding voice commands with 'Doris'. Much simpler :D
In the latest 10 for the Chairman (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?39475-10-for-the-Chairman&p=385648&viewfull=1#post385648), CR says that he's looking at integrating Voice Attack into SC :)

Excellent :thumb:
Had several sessions of Vanduul bashing today and thoroughly enjoyed them. Voice Attack is now faultless
and I don't think I could pilot the craft efficiently without it, targeting and missile launch so easy.
I just need a way to get more missiles on my rails and I will rule the 'verse:yahoo:
Try it and you'll buy it. At $8 (£4.70)its a snip.:)
VA taken to a new level. (https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/153203/updated-voiceattack-profile-anna-fully-state-aware-control-everything-with-your-voice/p1)
I had no idea it had state awareness. Very impressive.
or that it could be a talking wiki.
Ohhh and the joy the guy has prepared a manual !!
I've been using VA and love it but the hardest bit with using someone else's profile is remembering/learning their commands.... time to print it out :)
