The replacement for Wingman's Hangar.
Episode 1:
To be honest I was pretty underwhelmed. There's a skill in being engaging and watchable on a TV show which Eric Peterson had in spades and which the two new hosts lack completely. Hopefully they will quickly bin this show and think again.

Agreed, but then if you look back at Wingman's Hangar episode 1 there are remarkable similarities in the presentation and production qualities!

Very true. However they've already been through the learning curve and with $46m I imagine people (especially the news media) would be looking for something more polished. Otherwise stick with the slightly anarchic, funny Wingmans Hangar format IMHO
Ben is a bad fit IMHO. His short 'MVP' spot in WMH was painful so giving him this amount of air-time seems weird.
Sandi isn't well suited to this role either.
Not happy.
Tend to agree with all of the above, let's hope it improves as they figure out what they are going to do. We know why they needed to change, so I guess in the mean time we should just be thankful we're getting *some* updates at this point and hope they become *quality* updates in the near future!
Can't argue with getting the continuing updates and info. Still very welcome, I'd just rather at better delivery.

Bring back Eric Peterson :D
Will episode 2 be any better?

Tough call :g:
Stopped after 3 minutes.
The fat dude just has to go!
I watched through it this morning, but it wasn't particularly good or interesting (apart from the Xi'an Scout announcement). Irrespective of the guy's weight though, he's just not good in front of a camera & doesn't have a good voice for the work. Sandi has a decent voice, is moderately easy on the eye but I do not think she is much good in front of a camera either.
I guess as they're game developers not TV producers we can't blame them. However they really should employ a professional to make their shows. CGI got lucky with Wingman's Hangar but need to have a complete rethink about this show. They're probably going to get decent viewing figures as there are so many information junkies that will watch regardless of the dreadful presentation.

I found it quite interesting tbh. Yeah the presenting wasn't too good, but the people they interviewed etc I thought was a nice insight. I definitely want R2D2 noises after I lock on to a target :woot2: now to find the MVP post.....
Not sure these are improving with age, but I'll keep watching them in case it throws up a nugget from time to time.
I thought this one was edited better making it appear more slick.
didn't quite get what was going on with all that!
I just saw the ATV v 9.5, one of their better episodes. :byebye:
Having watched that ... think I'd like a Gladiator :D
I'm a bit behind on this one, so here's three in a row...
Yay, Starfarer has left concept art and moved to white-boxing!
Btw, which ship is that being teased at 29:35?
Isn't that the Carrack you all are waiting for?
He's panting as he walks around the office! That's not good.
And he talks about Wingman having gone back to concentrating on developing the game, obviously before he quit.
Oops was watching one from June. Nice marketing manager though.
Hehe Bert!
The latest one for you:
Carrack is very soon.
Some sneak peak artwork of the Starfarer is in the video at 41:10.
Does anyone know why I keep seeing the word "BORKED" in threads when I think there's supposed to be a link?
I'm using an iPad if that makes any difference.
Ta!
I think it must be iPad related, it looks fine from here. Borked is probably the embedded youtube video in the above post. A quick google suggests it might be a Flash-related problem.
Ah, thanks TL. Yeah, the iPad doesn't natively support Flash, so that may be it. Cheers.
