Title: Vroute - Flight planning tool
Post by: Sparko on October 30, 2014, 06:54:04 PM
Now we have a server up (thanks by the way server dudes :thumb:) thought i would share this with you guys.

Its called Vroute, a flight planning tool that enables you to import flight plans directly into FSX (and some other flight sims).  You can download it here (http://www.vroute.net/content/view/79/52/).

I used this whilst flying for Thomson Virtual a few years ago and all routes are VATSIM friendly should you ever need them for it.  The basics of the application are that you choose your departure airport and your destination airport and it creates a route using different way points.  You then have the option to export the flight plan (.pln file i think for fsx) which you can then import into the flight planner within fsx.  This then adds each way point to your GPS.  It beats flying direct from one airport to another and saves some messing about entering airport codes into the GPS for each flight.

If anyone fancies using this and needs some help give me a nudge but it really is so simple and very very useful.

It can do a bunch of other stuff too but i have only really used it for getting flight plans out of it.

Complexity ruled me out of doing anything, I got vroute working, but probably need to grab you Sparko for a chat through how to use it and then how to link it into VATsim and FSinn.  Basically I'm your typical clueless noob right now and feeling pretty stupid! :P
