Does anyone have any idea on how I can get a driver for that wireless nic?
Just the driver, without the dell bloatware rubbish. I want to use the windows wireless client.
Brand new Latitude E6540 and no driver cd in the box, simply brilliant..
Just managed to do this. For future reference:
Install the bloatware, it should provide a log.
Check the locations it used during install.
Find the temporary file names
Go to C:\windows\temp and search for the temp file name
Find drivers ready to be copied to a different location
Remove the Dell Wi-Fi garbage
Device Manager, right click on unknown network adapter, search for driver
Lead it to where you saved the drivers
Mission Complete
