The small army of technical experts that run this vast and imposing forum (me) have been updating the forum badges. Currently you will see that Arma, Counter Strike and the new FSX (flight sim) and Elite badges are sporting their new shiny look. I'm planning on updating the others over the next day or two. Also many thanks to our very own Frenzy for creating the graphics and templates for us to use.

there goes the coffee over the keyboard again!! :roflmao:
:g: hmmm okay then i thought i would of had something to do with gameplay .. guess i best go find a pet shop then  i might be only able to get guinea pis or gerbils are they okay ?
You get badges by actively and consistently playing a game we support. Other badges are given for LAN attendance or being an admin etc. I think you're due a few badges so here's one to be going on with.
ah okay then, that's what i thought but weren't sure if there was some categories or certain things you needed to do to get certain badges. like complete certain ,missions or log so many hours in game while playing with dmw team members. thanks for my first badge much appreciated and wasn't expecting to get star citizen first but am really happy with it now i just need to get better at it
Nah, badges are simpler than that. Each game we support has a Game Leader and they're the ones who should recognise if they have a new regular dMw member in game with them. Once you've been on for a period of time, demonstrated that you play in accordance with our ethos and are not a complete 'tool', then it's down to the Game Leader to award you the badge for their game. There are some other badges too, for helping out at the LAN, certain admin roles within the community and also for being appointed a Game Admin by the Game Leader, to help police their game and enforce our rules.
Hope this helps.
Brilliant thanks ever so much for all the info tea leaf I been wondering this since I joined here. ... Now a good question am I a tool ... Hmmm I ain't sure lol I guess I best start buttering up the game leaders so I can " get them all " ;) ( good old Pokemon ref ) but I like the idea of badges it's a great way to tell who do what and it's one way I guess how to get to know people, like there must be 3/4'of the people in the group I have never spoke to because I don't play WOW or games they play. Thanks again sorry for rabbiting on lol
