As the title says, going to pop on the server tonight, if anyone wants to come on for a little fly about, talk about how top improve FSX performance, or just ask anything else about it, then I should be on for about 2000GMT
all flying abilites welcome
There was a major Elite update yesterday so I will be online and TS to talking to any Commanders who will be trying it out. If it's quiet I can hop over to FSX.
I'll be online tonight in FSX. Need to spend time leaning how to use these new bits of software!

I will be on tonight from 7-9ish
Enjoyed that chaps, nice little route actually. Probably should have descended a little earlier maybe but the extended approach and good comms helped us all down :thumb:
...and the scenery......wow!!!
Currently flying a Beech from ENGM Oslo Gardermoen to ENBL Bringeland. Very nice at 5,000ft and lovely scenery. vRoute gave me a nice flight plan to follow, so plenty to do during the flight.
Edit: Ok, so I had to climb to 11,000ft to get over the snow-capped mountains towards the end of the route!
was a good flight, sorry about my comms...stella was talking to me:norty:
View from 11,000ft.

And the annoying bit: I entered a final 67 mile flight leg and decided to blast through 45 miles of it using 8x simulation rate as I have some household chores to do. I took a nice picture of the coastline and prepared to come out of 'warp'.

In the above picture the airport is just out of picture on the left. You can just see the coastline at the top too.
Just after I returned from relativistic speeds I started reducing my altitude and eventually from 5,000 ft started my turn long, slow turn in to ENBL for a landing on runway 25. And just as I was lining up on final and passing through 3,000ft my FSX crashed. I hate when that happens. Runway in sight, no wait, that's my desktop. Bugger.
Oh well, breakfast time then.

Wierd, they both worked earlier. The second one still works for me. I'll try a re-upload.
Edit: Both piccies now showing embedded for me.
Completed the flight this afternoon.
Challenge: try the landing on runway 26 at ENBL. 08 is reasonably ok, but 26 is a nice challenge.

Cracking little airfield you have found there TL :thumb:
Started with RW26 challenge...very very nice :) a few trees making you think and the dip before you touch down is deceiving. The runway is quite short giving you that 'omg i hope i stop in time' feeling
RW08 was easier obviously as it lacked the large mountain on approach but is enjoyable non the less.
A few piccy's as it was a nice time of day:

Safe and sound :)
Adding this to my 'favorite airport list'....Cheers TL :thumb:
what a cracking airport, just did an approach both ways..quite interesting, the terrain makes it tricky, i was using the new sun and cloud textures as well
