Well, we managed to blow straight through $64m - $64,239,000 as I write!
People seem to be loving the Carrack (and helped in no small part by the Javelins, of course!).
64.7m as it stands, might have a double letter on Monday.
Going 65 mil tonight I guess.
We broke 65 mil around 16 hours ago.
Only 65.2 right now, so 66mil tonight might be a long shot.
Still can't get over how well they've managed all this. Hats off to them!
Yep, but it is great fun watching it tick up and boost the game development. 2015 is going to see some awesome releases.

It seems they're waiting for the 66mil mark to issue the usual letter.
It's quite annoying since it's nearly a week late. They should decide 5 stretch goals or more in advance instead of this bloody suspense.
I don't mind the secrets. But i must admit the lack of acknowledgement is a bit irritating. Chances are he will get some stick for it

I was reading a interview with CR and he got asked why hasnt he just already written all the letters for passing the goals. His repesnose was that he really enjoyed it and he could make it more personal depending on stuff that had recently happened. But the issue was that when they are really busy it take a while longer to get a letter out.
He's been out at gamecons somewhere in the UK over the past week or so iirc. I'm not too bothered by the slow response when he's out and about travelling.
Well, being busy is fine and dandy. There's no excuse for all the REDACTED stretch goals though; which where most of my gripe lies.
They should announce a bunch of them at one go, so there's always something to aim for. Inexcusable, especially from a business perspective.
Hey give us money. What are you giving us in return? REDACTED..
The 66 million line has been crossed.
We should probably have a letter by tomorrow I hope.
I guess it all depends on how busy Chris is while in the UK.
On a track day in his new McLaren 😜
Drinking DP at kitsch with some Russians?
:-D
C'mon, guys.
You wouldn't spend $20m+ on a Learjet and not thoroughly test it first.
I was just taking the p ;-) I'd most definitely be drinking some DP and driving my McLaren around SilverStone (probably not at the same time...) If I had them!
I missed off the smiley :)
And finally, we have a letter! (https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/14354-Letter-From-The-Chairman-Multi-Crew-Ship-Systems)
$66 million reward, nothing?
So that last paragraph I felt was very interesting. But will leave it till a few more have read it before I discuss it.

Best letter ever, IMHO.
The focus and level of detail that is being aimed towards multi-crewing is exactly what I've been hoping for. This bodes well for other team-based activities within the game.
I'm all excited again :yahoo:
For me the way they are now not going to be always giving us a new toy or planet or pet but more information about how it is developing, more details on for example crew management. Says to me that they have got to a point where it is now more about lets build this think as is of course there room for more but I hope they are plowing more of their resources in to the building of the game. :)
From how I see it, they should be giving out said information anyway. Information isn't a stretch goal reward, definitely not when we're talking millions. We are owed whatever information they have, as we're the stakeholders/investors/business partners; no backers, no SC.
And all this redacted/no reward nonsense demotivates people. There's no goal to strive for, so less money coming in.
Personally, I don't care if they stop the stretch goal system tomorrow. If they build the game as currently envisioned then I'll be more than happy.

Immediately post a record breaking fund raising period it's difficult to say there's less money coming in.
We need to remember that they are giving us the information you say we should have anyway, they're just choosing to give it to us in this fashion.
Personally I'm fine with the quantity of information we're getting, it's way more than I've ever seen from a game at this stage of development.

I subscribed to Centurion Level earlier today because of the quality of Jump Point. I was stoked at the blueprint and concept art. I'm looking forward to the Den chat.

The thing to bear in mind is that there hasn't been a true stretch goal since the late $20 millions.
They basically ran out of things to actually stretch for, and resorted to simply giving us fake 'choices' in the form of polls in order to give us something to strive for.
These choices were simply things that they planned on including anyway, but gave the community the illusion that they were influencing the development in some way.
im not surprised at the lack of 'goals' and I don't think the community is that fussed about them anymore anyway. The fact they out the stretch goal and the total raised so far on to a sub page is pretty much proof that not many people are really pursuing them any more either.
i would much rather they give us actual info and updates. That alone will drive new money going forward. There are a lot of potential backers out there who aren't interested in flying a space shop but will love to eve part of a boarding party or storming a space station, while others would love to work EWAR and hacking or perform navigation and mapping. As these features come online, more people who want to play these will pledge.
Don't understand me wrong, I like the info. I just expect it by default.
Even if the latest stretch goals were "fake", it was something to look forward to. In general people like to unlock/achieve stuff, be it flair, a brochure or whatever. Just don't put information we should be getting anyway in that tier.
It's like the well known carrot on a stick, remove the carrot and it's just a stick..

Hey, congrats! The den is the best forum. I tend to avoid the rest, even the concierge forum. That tends to be lots of people discussing how much money they've spent and not a lot else.
