Title: November Monthly Report
Post by: TeaLeaf on December 04, 2014, 11:51:47 AM
Another highly informative read with reports from each of the key divisions on their work and progress.  Including confirmation of their 64-bit timeline.

QuoteThe 64-bit “large world” conversion continues, and is currently on track to finish sometime around early February 2015.

Halfway down the page you'll also find some audio samples for flight systems/UI feedback.  Go listen to them!

64 bit - the first step into the bigger world of Star Citizen.  Very exciting.

I'm not completely sure where they're going with those sound samples, but I didn't think they were particularly useful.

Early days yet, I guess.

QuoteRecently the audio team has been putting some thought into the ship computer UI sounds. Some of the messages are so important that it is imperative that the player understands them. Because of this we have devised rules for some of the most critical of sounds.
Well you've managed to work out how to make sounds so similar that they are utterly meaningless and come across as a random set of bleeps. That's a good step, now go and do the exact opposite of what you have done and I think you'll have nailed it.
