Title: Space life Simulator
Post by: vobler on December 16, 2014, 11:13:40 PM
I just read a thread in the Frontier Elite forum that this is not a game; but a Space Life Simulator!
I'm Ok with that, I love simulators!

Hah, but where is the bar? A life without beer and only 400 billion systems as a replacement is no life 😃

I found this on the Frontier Elite forum and just had to post it. Very Wise!

I think the major problem I see when reading complaints about ED is that people are trying to game a game that's meant to be an experience. And when gaming it doesn't work they don't know what's wrong.

Go out there, and experience it. Don't game it.

True that. The problem is that most games ship with a set goal. Elite has no goals as such. Last night I was an explorer. Tonight I think I will be a soldier of fortune.

Last night I sold my ASP and bought a Lakon Type 6 so I could ship a round 100T of cargo.

Missing the FSD interdictor every time I see someone wanted, but now I have nothing to shoot them with anyway!

Anyway, with 13,000,000CR in the Bank of Zaonce, I want to get money for a Lakon Type 7 (17M CR +) for that 200T cargo feeling...

With a few days off over crimbo, I shall be a straight trader for a while and rack up the moolah. Once I have the Lakon Type 7, I'm going to start buying other ships (Eagle, Viper, Cobra) and make my own little fleet! Mainly to try out the cabins in the Rift, truth be told. I may also try out the Adder.

I noticed that the 17mill CR Type 7 is now 15.5mill CR at at Founders World. So having gained Rep in the system, any one of the 13 ships there are cheaper!

So I raised 17.6mill and bought the Type7. I got deducted the full 17.4mill rather than 15.7 that the shipyard was quoting so I now have 200k to insure and trade with on an expensive ship. Poo pants time for a few days until I get to 1.5mill again!

Support ticket raised.
