Picked this up on Steam and it's fun but I'm utterly rubbish at using a keyboard/mouse to control anything. So I'm looking for a joystick that works well with FSX. I'm not looking to spend a lot of cash as I have a big pressy coming next year which will probably be whatever the Star Citizen community decide is the bees knees controller for the game. So this is a strop gap until then. I've checked out recent forum posts about joysticks, but the recommendations are mostly for quality sticks. I'm just looking for something cheap that will get me flying and has enough controls and buttons to cover the main requirements of a flight sim. It doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles.
So could anyone recommend a < £50 stick? If I can get it on Amazon that would be a bonus (I have some gift vouchers).
Cheers.
You should be able to pick up a Thrustmaster TM16000 for about £35. Can be set up for left or right-handed use. Pretty decent and I'm having good use from mine as an interim until the SC HOTAS options are known.
I've just bought a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X for my son for Xmas via Amazon £42.?? .
Arrived today and seems a well made piece of kit. Will be ordering for self in new year.
Another vote for T16000M.
