Title: Something I made is in actual space
Post by: Justin Tolerable on January 08, 2015, 01:01:45 PM
So a few months ago, I made some LEGO astronauts for a customer.  Yesterday, I saw this:

Yep.  That's my work.  IN ACTUAL SPACE.  I'm absurdly happy about this.

Your company heading should now read "Suppliers to the stars! No, not self-proclaimed celebrities, actually supplying to outer-space!"

Ha ha!  That's what I originally put on our press release :D  "Minifig makers to the stars".  Then I chickened out.  I do end my quote with "We've shipped all over the world before, but never off it".  Which I like.

Although we do actually have a lot of celebrities on our previous list, so it does work.

Nice! Sadly the only thing I'll ever get into space is my dreams....

Close! That's someone else who makes hideous things. We're //www.minifigs.me :)

Confusing, I know. If we'd known it would end up so big we might have thought about the name more!

Lameduck - incredibly pleased! I've been telling everyone I see. The woman in the fish and chip shop didn't seem as impressed as I feel she should have been.

Just curious if you've spoken to lego about this at all?

There is a huge amount of potential for leveraging this on both sides.

If you want to send me your press release I'd be happy to pump it out on the Newswire services we subscribe to. It costs several grand a year to have so we may as well exploit it  if it would be of help :-)

We have a very good relationship with LEGO, but they tend to avoid promoting this as they don't offer the product. I'd love to send you the release though, thanks! I'll forward it on later (can you add attachments in a pm?)
