The more I see the more I want to play this game.
Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced joystick for a total sim beginner?
I love flying in ARMA, love it, am interested in both this and Elite, and will eventually play Star Citizen.
However, my budget is currently very thin, so really I am looking for something to tide me over until I can afford to step up to something better for Star Citizen.
The joysticks some of you had at the LAN were fantastic, but I imagine a bit out of my price range!
Ideally I wouldn't want to spend more than about 50 £...and less is better of course... not even sure if this will get me a decent set up or not! Need advice, I have no idea what I am looking for here :)
Bought one @Xmas for my son and have ordered one for myself approx £40

That is a great price, how are you guys finding it for flying?
first question : how much do you want to pay for a joystick
sub £50? go with the one linked above
or
if your looking at £150 mark i'd be going with a x52 or x52 pro
I 'tested' my sons joystick before I gave it to him. It was extremely accurate and had a solid 'feel' to it. You can adjust the tension on the main spring and has a good number of buttons/switches to allocate to FSX functions. The throttle and stick do separate so it makes the setup very easy to use comfortably with both hands. My stick will be here on Tuesday/Wednesday, I'll give it a full test report then but using it for a short time (about an hour) persuaded me to give myself a new years present.
Sounds good, for 40 £ it sounds like a good buy for what I am looking for!
