Title: The dMw Tag
Post by: Dexterous on January 18, 2015, 07:23:28 PM
What exactly are the rules about the tag? I've been proudly using my in game dMw tag that you assign in the CS:GO settings for a while now, but I've been told that you need to wait to be told you can use it. One, as I haven't been told to use it, should I remove it as my in-game tag? Two, is it just the -=dMw=- tag people sometimes put in their actual name that you need to wait to use? Three, I am confused....

I did have a look at some of the posts but I can't find anything on this subject, therefore bringing it to attention may shed some light for other CS:GO players.

CS:GO is different to CSS and earlier versions of the game.

Before, you just added -=[dMw]=- in front of your name when you got awarded the tag.

In CS:GO you have to be a member of the dMw Group in order to wear the tag.

In Options choose game settings and then pick dMw out of your groups.

Some people have been invited to the group and taken that as a go-ahead to wear the tag; I have had to ask them to take it off till it is awarded.

The section quoted above is out of date and needs amending, I'll get on it when I have a mo.

In answer to your question, I was sure that you had the tag anyway as you have been playing GO since the start.

If I have overlooked you, please accept my apologies and carry on wearing the tag.

:D

Edit:  Apparently I did overlook you, sorted now, badged and tagged.

I think in most cases this is the reason for regular and active players NOT to wear the tag, it means they get overlooked! :)

As what I quoted is out of date blunt, I will remove it from here so as not to confuse any!
