Title: Lan games / comps
Post by: Gone_Away on January 26, 2015, 09:48:26 PM
Guys,

Early heads up. Depending on how the community receives the game in general, we will look to add Toxikk to the LAN due to our ability to run our own servers on it.

At the present moment in time a four pack works out to approximately 3 pints of ale (£9) each. For that money it's well worth it.

Good call.

Going on early reports I think it's highly likely that we'll be adopting this game and it will become a LAN staple.

So if you're coming to the LAN please, please get ahead of the curve and get this. :)

I tried Toxikk out this afternoon, am I missing something? It just feels like a pretty ordinary Unreal Tournament clone to me.

If we're going for an old-school deathmatch game at the LAN, why not the excellent Unreal Tournament 2004? http://store.steampowered.com/app/13230/

Same price, better game. In my opinion :)

I wasn't all that impressed by it either. Would rather play QL or UT if I want that old school feel.
But I own it now, so am up for a comp if it gets added.
