Very impressed with this addon (purchased from JustFlight) with one exception.    The panel selector (which should appear top left) has only ever appeared once out of about 7 or 8 times I have loaded it (both Free Flight and the Training Mission).  This makes it rather hard to set the aircraft up properly for flight, so I'm wondering if I am missing something?

Have you had a similar problem Sulky?

yep exactly the same issue and the fact that the bugger likes to stall and the air-brakes don't slow you down they kill your height as i found out a 500 ft yesterday at princess juliano..the pic i posted was from the 2nd attempt the 1st aircraft is 30 ft underwater

Found this post which might be quite helpful for the few times a 2D is preferred.

http://forum.justflight.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=22409&title=2d-panel-view-fix

QuoteHi all,

I have a little fix that allows a better view of the runway etc when using the 2d panel.

If you open up each of the panel folders in;
Microsoft Flight Simulator X/SimObjects/Airplanes/jf_Tristar and jf_Tristar_FMC
Panel.100
Panel.500
Panel.100_FMC
Panel.500_FMC

and look for the line in the panel.cfg

VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=4.00, 0.00, 0.00

You will find it under the [VIEWS] section.

All you have to do is change the first number from 4 to 7 ie;

VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=7.00, 0.00, 0.00

This will rotate the view down a little so that the view out the windscreen in the 2d panel is about the same as the view in the Virtual Cockpit. This tweak makes it so much easier to see the taxiway/runway during taxi, takeoff and landing.

Cheers,

Nathan
