Page Mun, Arizona (KPGA)
Any aircraft you feel you want to take into the canyon you can take, but obviously use common sense on aircraft size .
Any pilots interested meet on the server and TeamSpeak around 19:30 GMT ready for take off at around 20:00 GMT. server details can be found here (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?40345-FSHost-info-and-download-details)

Flight time is roughly 40 minutes, depending on how much fun the first leg is we may wish to make the return journey. I haven't created a flight plan for this flight as the canyon pretty much gives us a route to our destination. I would advise still entering the destination airport into your GPS just so you don't accidentally get a little lost. We will take off from runway 03 and turn slightly left heading North. Once over the canyon, we can turn directly east descending into the canyon and then follow the twists and turns until we reach our destination. Below is a rough map of the departure plan. The black dots indicate the planned departure route into the canyon:(http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c118/sparko501/cgmap_zpsodfdxmhz.png)
I flew this route to test it as i do every event we host and it is rather fun, especially towards the end of the run when the twists and turns get pretty tight. Before joining the server be sure to have all air traffic turned off otherwise you will see AI aircraft on the ground and in the air. Also please make sure you have read the server rules (here (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?40374-dMw-FSHost-Server-Rules)) so you are aware of the do's and don'ts.
If your new to FSX this is a great opportunity to come and learn the basics, im sure any questions you may have can be answered.
I hope to see you on the night, if you have any questions feel free to contact me or one of the admins or reply here :)

Excellent, nice work Sulky :thumb:
just a quick one if you go to fshost, click edit, then options and set redraw other players planes to 1ms it makes things a lot smoother, and then set the show other players to 0 then you can see players a lot further away
I can't get that to download, I get some stupid 'must create an account' screen and can't get past 'not telling'.
Got a link to the file from Dropbox maybe?
Forget it, it was their website playing stupid with Steam logins.
Thanks to everyone involved tonight, enjoyed the twist and turns and good call on the P51's that was an experience :)
Apologies for the issues we had at the start, unfortunately that's common for FSX and always has been :(
Following river along the bottom of the Grand Canyon means we were flying down an extremely narrow gorge for a prolonged period of time at 180mph. At some points I reckon we had 6-8ft clearance either side of the wing tips!
It was awesome fun and I congratulate Sparko on an excellent choice of route for us! Well done!
