What if one has an E, and equips it with a C load.  Is it as/more maneuverable than a C since an E has improved thrusters/engines?

I think the answer to that is given in the Hull D Q&A, which says no.   They are saying that a Hull C is faster and more maneuverable than a Hull D, so the same should hold true for the E.   I think the E is the Super Tanker ship, it takes several thousand miles to slow down, several thousand miles to speed up and has the turning circle of a small planet.  The D I am expecting to be the 'Ferry' ship, slow, but more maneuverable than the super tanker, but still slower than a C.

Even an empty Super Tanker handles like a cow!

Quote from: RSI“Which Hull would better compliment the operation of an RSI Orion mining platform?”

A Hull C or larger would be best for dealing with the amount of ore the Orion produces. If you’re mining in a safe area or have a good escort team, the Hull D would be best. If you’re looking to try and escape from scrapes more easily using just the two ships, a Hull C seems preferable.

“For what reasons might someone choose a HULL D over the more maneuverable HULL C or the much more massive HULL E?”

The simple answer is that the entire lineup is a sliding scale: as more and more cargo space is added, the speed and maneuverability is compromised. The Hull D is for pilots who want to move a lot of cargo, but aren’t willing to go quite as slowly and methodically as the Hull E will require. While it’s tempting to pick the highest number and decide that’s the best, it’s likely that most independent captains would get more bang for their buck with a smaller ship fully laden rather than struggling to afford as much cargo as it would take to stock a Hull E.

......btw, I'm loving the fact that even mining seems to have a coop component!

To me it looks like a shrimp/lobster with an astronaut helmet on; nothing bad about that!

Those front quad lights are nice.

Yep, it certainly is.  Right down to the legs and the mouth..

Also has some resemblance to a ship called Patriot from Freelancer.

I'm still struggling for crew for my tali! Ha. It'd be nice to do a few tours in a cargo ship though;)
