Hello all,
I have recently joined this community and have spent quite some time now on the MC Server. I cant help but notice that it is rather quiet (normally I am the only one online on a 40 player server?) and as an attempt to boost some motivation to make it more enjoyable was wondering whether it would be worth hosting a UHC match at some point providing the interest is there (not to mention if it's possible). Or possibly starting a modded server (again if the resources are there?)

im on it as well, but possibly at earlier times as i play minecraft with my daughter. When we lost the live maps it sort of was a bit of a killer as its nigh on impossible to know where things are unless its whats you built, but can you provide more details of UHC?
Hiya Sulky, I normally play in the evenings. along with a friend of mine (TUNA) so it is possible we miss each other. And thats fair enough, one way to avoid that is a nether hub, but that takes a lot of work lol... UHC (Ultra Hardcore) is a Minecraft PvP minigame originally created by Team "Nancy Drew" (which is "Guude", "PauseUnpause", "VintageBeef" and "W92Baj" ). The goal is to be the last player/team standing. Many Features/conditions depend on the host of the game, but Natural Regeneration is always OFF (which means that full hunger bar doesn't recover your health and the only way you can is golden apples or potions.
That or as I said, a Modded server (such as FTB or AOTBT) could be fun and a possible boost in popularity.

Being on TS helps not miss each other too, it also lets people know someone else is online!
i do come on TS but normally the MC room is empty and as i dont know many ppl yet its rather strange lol... so i normally just set it to afk haha

might be ok, my daughter plays it sometimes. She says it can be fun bit i quote "full of naughty people". But the problem is that it may require a new instance of the game to be running, which I dont know if we have capacity for and i wouldnt want to say get rid of the old one as I still play on it, as do other people intermitantly.
But more people may play the normal version if we can find a live map that works on one of the later version...but im not the admin for this game so it may require somone at a higher level to make a decsion on how things procede.
I see what you mean about a new instance of the game. I definitely wouldn't suggest getting rid of the vanilla! a lot of hard work has gone into various projects and we cant see that go to waste. possible could have a chat with someone higher and see about it, if not I can host a server on my own machine with 4Gb of ram available for it. depends on interest. The link is to a bdoubleo100 play through of a UHC map, I am not entirely certain how there are "naughty people" involved lol. unless she means the PVP aspect of killing other players? unfortunately I do not have the capacity to run a heavily modded version of minecraft such as feed the beast or Attack of the B Team myself. it would be good to get a map working but I do find after a while I get bored of vanilla haha
