As the title says, the tickets for CitizenCon 2015 are up for sale, but you better be quick as they're going fast!

I have to visit Manchester on business every few months so will track the ticket availability whilst Engineering a trip. Certainly a more expensive event than Gamescom but probably more intimate.
How much were the GamesCom tickets? I didn't think that £40 was too bad tbh.
ive just checked the availability of the tickets this morning and must admit to being surprised at there still being nearly 200 of the 600 left. I thought they'd all be gone by now.
I was out all day yesterday and all night and only just seen this, so I'm pleased with there still being some availability! I already had the hotel room booked, so I've now bought an event ticket to go along with the room, so I'll have something to do whilst I am there!
Quote from: RSIAdditionally, we have updated the pledge store’s exchange rate for GBP this morning, to make the event (and pledge packages in general!) more affordable for those purchasing tickets in the UK (as of this posting.)
I still found it cheaper to buy in â,¬, even this morning!
by the time I saw this all tickets were bloody gone and I was looking forward to it as well....insert expletives of choice here
Bummer :(
Sorry you missed it mate. I'd suggest keeping an eye on the linked post and F5-ing every now and then as I suspect some may come available again as people find they've messed up their orders (I inadvertently had two at one point with one being set to be paid by Stripe, which I couldn't finish, so cancelled, and the ticket went back in the pot).
I'd been keeping an eye out for when these tickets were going to be available for some time. When I saw people talking about it on the forums first I had a mini heart attack. Thought I'd missed it. Thankfully there were 200 available and I was able to get mine. By the time I finished that number had actually gone up by 40 or so.
So as Obsydian says keep an eye out. I've seen things fluctuate a bit before during the sale of their items.
I also think I recall there being a few occasions where people had contacted customer support and had their name added to a waiting list for limited ships which met with success. Might be an option, although they are much busier these days.
Also, drop Chelsea a line on Concierge, you never know.
Well I think I'm good,...though I'm not allowed to tell anyone apparently...so maybe I'm not good...hmmm...anyway with a little luck I might have a ticket so all might be well in the world and the Wife might get taken out to dinner again.
Not sure if this is a cache bug, but I saw they had increased the ticket numbers from 600 and have 61 left. So if you have not got your ticket yet then now is your chance.

No, there's still none available to buy.
I think the 61 are reserved for staff, etc.
Any chance anyone bought like more than they needed so that those of us who did NOT see that notice on June 10th have a shot at going??
They have the name of the citizen on them normally and are one per person not transferable. I never got one either.

You need to provide photoid too to get in, so they are definetely not transferrable. I only bought one, sorry Sith
You could always try putting a ticket in to Chelsea and if some become available for whatever reason you may find that you are lucky and they'll sort you out with something, I've heard tell that this has worked for a couple of people
Darn that José Mourinio! So they snapped up all the tickets and no doubt the expensive ship packs!
Seriously who or what is Chelsea?

Did you manage to get a ticket mate?
Yes, I assume that once a person has invested over a certain percentage of their household income in the game they are given an account manager?
I raised a support ticket to ask to be put onto any returns or waiting list they may keep. Not holding my breath but gotta ask eh?
Quote from: Obsydian;400438Did you manage to get a ticket mate?
Yes I did and so did Slann so DMW will have a few people going up to Manchester, just need to sort a hotel out now and life will be good :D

Basically just log in on the RSI website and put a ticket in, Chelsea is customer services so she'll usually be the person who answers....it's obviously not a given but it's worth a shot just lay it on thick and keep your fingers crossed
Has anyone got tickets for this and not realised its on the Saturday of the LAN? Have they changed the date from later in October?

 The LAN is showing on this forum as the same weekend as this, but in my diary the LAN is the weekend after this one. God damnit, if I've ballsed up I'll be needing to bail from Citizencon. Bugger.
Balls are certainly up. We're Lan'ing Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th Oct and Citizencon is on 10th Oct.
It will also impact the Star Citizen Meetup at the LAN which is the same day is it not and most likely backers will want to rig up a TV with sound for the live stream into the evening no?
I am positive the date was later in October originally, I can't find reference to it but I had compared Citizencon to the LAN dates and found them to be separate. They must have moved it forward a weekend or 2.
Maybe the SC admin team can come up with something funky to get interested parties watching the stream.
wonder if its gonna be streamed live on twitch if so we could put it up on the projecter and maybe have the sound coming thru ts?maybe?
Well if it's streaming Saturday afternoon then it's going to be right in the middle of the competitions. Social members might be able to get round a laptop in the lounge, but LAN folk will be playing so I doubt we'll be able to have anything running in the LAN room.. ?
Watching the live feed is a painful experience at best. We'd be better off watching the presentation after it's been posted on the RSI website.
you can usally watch it on replay anyway so should'nt be a prob about seeing it sat evening once the comps have finished.
Bugger
I was looking forward to having a beer or three with you guys Saturday night.
Anybody still coming to the CIG event?
I'm still heading up there and so hopefully is Slann so if you're still going I'll see you there.....sorry btw for my somewhat low profile of late...had to go on holiday and the I think the wife purposefully picked somewhere with no internet access so have been a bit off the radar of late....on the plus side my rl surfing has got better
Nice one Joe! See you guys there!
Surfing eh? Ah the memories... I'd probably have difficulty just paddling these days :(

Do you still have your CitizenCon ticket, TL?
If you do, you can get a refund from CS and CIG will allocate it to someone else.
Already refunded and the ticket must have gone elsewhere by now I reckon. Someone will have it!
Nice one!
Have fun, Obs. I'm really excited and I'm not even going :yahoo:
Cutting it a bit fine, but my dMw t-shirt finally arrived this afternoon, so I'm all set for CitizenCon tomorrow!
Cant wait!
