Title: Bad night with CSGO
Post by: SLoWHaND on August 25, 2015, 07:00:04 AM
Is the issue with server sorted.
I only managed about 5 mins last night b4 my screen looked like an heat haze on a hot road and then getting disconnected.
I couldnt see the server in browser for most of the night.........when I could it it would not connect me.
I even tried connect XXXXX through the console but it failed to.

It looks like we had some network issues last night as both the forum and game servers were in and out of availability.  They run on separate physical servers.

Just as a heads up, the issues persisted through to this morning. TS server was unreachable again this morning, ca. 06:10. Not sure what time it recovered.

I was on TS last night after these issues, but before yours nopea, so the problem was intermittent and not persistent overnight.  It is currently reachable from my office too, so it seems to be working fine at the moment.

Did anyone get a pingplotter log to show the hops to see where the problem lay?   Network problems might have been outside our host's control.

Thanks TL.
When I dropped from TS yesterday eve around 7PM, I tried from my host in germany but could not get through either.
I ran an mtr and only got as far as the 2nd last hop. looked as though ICMP was being filtered or dropped for the actual host. But I'm sure I've seen it reply to pings in the past.
There was no noticeable packetloss anywhere along the chain.   The session may still be active, I'll have to check when I get home.
If it is, I'll be happy to share the details.

Does Brightstar have a status-page of sorts? I could not find one.
Fingers x'd that things will be fine this eve!

I just had a game against bots hoping someone would join :P but it seemed ok, yet it was only me. Anyone fancy a game and seeing how it goes?

Not so good or is it bad.........
By the time I finished in MM I couldn't get on the server because it was full. (Kinda good for dMw but not for me)
when space became available I was getting huge lag and disconnections warnings but i could ping the server from the browser.

I monitored the route from me to the server for 90 minutes early yesterday evening and the only thing I could see was some kind of congestion or spikes in the c4l network hops prior to entering Brightstar.  Was it in the same place for you or were you getting something different?

I got the same thing this morning when I tested before leaving for work.
