I put this here instead of the 'Look What I Found on the Internet' section because this stuff is seriously mind-bendingly impressive.
It may be old but the Sukhoi Su-35S Super Flanker continues to stun observers with its flight envelope capabilities. Its ability to do physics defying stuff in the air is quite literally bat **** crazy. It flies backwards, smoothly enters and exits flat spins, demos cobra kill shots with over 100 degrees change in pitch angle to then continue on in level flight, pulls 180 degree turns within a tiny window and can fly along quite happily at slow speed with an approx 80 degree nose up attitude. Oh, and it can fly vertically towards the ground, tail first and then exit into level flight.
:blink::blink:
You have to watch the whole video to truly appreciate the combat maneouvres that this plane can execute. Simply stunning. It gets me every time.
These videos from this weekend's MAKS airshow (Russia).
Aye stunning.
Have a go if you've got a bit of cash knocking around....
