To play with the Dead Men your Steam64 ID has to be added to our 'whitelist' by an admin.

Make a post here asking to be added and include your ID.

To find your Steam64 ID do the following ...

From a browser go to http://store.steampowered.com/
Or try https://steamid.io/lookup

Login using your Steam credentials.

From your Steam-name drop-down (top right) select 'View profile'.

The long number shown in the browser's address bar is your Steam64 ID.

e.g.

Quite a few IDs have already been added so try to access first then post here if you can't get on.

So since I'm a complete noob to Ark (played about an hour or 2 a few months ago), I'm assuming I find the DMW server in the list of unofficial servers when I log in ? Named DMW I guess ?

And what do I choose as my spawn point ? I always thought South was safest, but from reading the forum here and your plan for that cave tomorrow eve plus the mention of how close the snow biom is I'm guessing we have a main camp up north somewhere ?

Just looking to get in and find you guys without dying before I atleast make a bed !

Hi Andy

Search for 'DeadMenWalking' and spawn at West3.

Someone will grab you and drop you off at The Keep where it's easiest to get a foothold in the game.

We should have a event of tomorrow and I think ... Think I should be on for most the night after work so if need be I am more then happy to come and get you, if you want I can give you some basic gear to get you started on this game unless you want to do it yourself then that's fine a few people enjoy doing it on there own with only a bit of help

Cheers, I will try to get online Friday eve but I'm still seriously rough atm, I'll see how it goes but tv and bed could likely be on the cards.... I'll be there soon enough though :)

I'd like to get the basics done myself, craft my first set of clothes, first weapon, first simple hut, first saddle, tame my first beastie etc, just to get my head around the mechanics properly, although I won't turn down help and advice that's for sure ! But after that, especially since I probably won't be on every night, I'll be happy to do a job or fulfil some kind of roll that benefits the Tribe to be honest :D

Guys, i'm just trying to log in to set up mouse profile and find my feet etc, not staying long, but i can't find our server ? tried as OB said searching DeadMenWalking but says 0 servers found, any ideas ?

EDIT: OK weird, still couldn't find it, but tried direct IP link in "who's playing" thread and that took me in, anyway sorted so i'll see you guys tomorrow i hope !

Just go to unofficial servers, make sure passwprd is not ticked and type in dead. Two servers come up.

Added you to the whitelist last night DA.

Try and initially spawn in the friendlier S1 or W1-3 areas and we can pop over and invite you into the tribe.

I means you'll last a little longer than the other hostile spawns and maybe get a small hut built before we get there. Tribe membership just means we're all friendly and you can then play the game how you want, solo or community.

I popped on the other day, OB was on and helped me out but i couldn't stay long enough to build a hut/bed so logged out in someone elses open hut on the beach north of W3, no admin was on either to get me in the Tribe, but i'm popping back on later for an hour two to check (hope) i'm still alive and see if i can get an invite !

Think i died 3 times in an hour and that was with a lift via bird over most of the dangerous stuff off OB :D
