Title: Job Opportunity
Post by: OldBloke on January 17, 2004, 03:17:23 PM
Red has approached me and asked if he could arrange friendly matches for Bravo Co. on a regular (weekly) basis.

This seems like a fine idea to me. We will shortly be receiving requests from current Bravos asking to join Charlie Co. and if they've already had some match experience then the transition (for those not previously clanned) should be smoother.

But it's no good having Red do this all the time as he will be applying for Charlie himself. So my idea is to have an existing Charlie member take on the role of Bravo Mentor. The role would involve arranging matches, selecting teams and training (buyscripts, comms, tactics, irc etc.). As the post-holder will also be expected to play in these friendlies it has to be an admin.

This will be a very interesting and rewarding job. Anyone interested in this role please send a PM to both TeaLeaf and me stating why you see yourself as an ideal mentor.

Comments welcome.

I suspect it will be a bit more than that, not more than one match/practice per week, but all the organisation that goes with it.

Think about it, if Bravo is not part of ED then how do you organise friendlies?  It will need person to person contact with other clans/groups.  Either availability will need to be updated to allow a Bravo section, or it will need to be handled on the forum.

With what OB and I handle already it is not something we can take on ourselves so we need someone to step forward and take it on.  Eithert that or we think of a new way of running it.
