Title: Feeding Dino
Post by: BrotherTobious on February 17, 2016, 08:26:31 AM
Guys and Girls

Unforntantly not going to get on to the server until Thursday night earliest.  I was wondering if Amilea Earhart is not dead from starvation could someone pop by the keep and feed her and check that Freddie is ok too.

If not or they are already gone no worries.  Completely forgot it is persistence server.

Thanks

I've left some stuff (clothes) in one of my old chests as it's a bind having to make them each time you fast travel.

This is the one thing that has stopped me being in Ark much, I bought it, loved it, had to work a few days, died.... I'm going to come try DMW server now I realise we have one (doh !) but realistically how long can you go without being in game if no one can help ? What are you meant to do when you go on holiday etc ?

You can go Ages when your not in game your food and water goes down very very slowly and your Dinos are the same if people are in your area then it goes a bit faster but we are all here to help man. You need it I am sure we can help you with it in game, you need a baby sitter then that's fine but if not stay in the keep with is a good starter area we got and a few people should be there to help you out man :)

I don't think it's a real issue. If a trough if filled that will sort out the herbivores and meat can be provided. The map is so covered that it'd only be a short walk/fly to take your dinos to a neighbour for caretaking if needed.

I popped over last night and saw them wolf down two stacks of meat from the trough instantly, left a single stack in as well as a few hundred berries, but they didn't drop.

Went over and checked your plots and they were all unseeded???

Collected some meat for your dinos.

Could have already ran out of fertiliser? (I assume it's irrigated, although your pipe work can get damaged if the dinos agro bear it.)

We have a tonne of fertiliser at the cave, far too much for us to get through. Those beetles make a lot of it as a bi-product when creating oil. There are 3 large storage containers near the plants, pretty much full. Get yourself a beetle :)

Thanks for checking oldie it's much appreciated and on your birthday as well. It seems they must of ran out...I am growing crops and sadly don't really have a food supply of fertiliser right now so am guessing they must of ran out sadly there no harm done, but I do need a beetle like Jamoe and even pen told me. If any is spare them I would love some if need be will pay for it right now since I am getting fed up of picking up poo all the time lol

It's all irrigated and pipped up I done it in a way I would like to think that most dinos won't destroy it ....but I know how this game works and they have they own crazy minds so won't surprise me is its been destroyed. Hopefully they are all still up I just need to replant seeds and get more fertiliser.

Off for the weekend and making this post as a reminder for my nice neighbors who will keep an eye out on my castle.
Whitey, I'll have a look at yours over the week next week.

Thanks, I'm away from Monday to Friday and have a feeding trough at the left side of the front door and on the  smaller roof beside the Bronto (I'll try and make sure all my dino's are in range of this one).  I'll make sure they are fully stocked before I go.

Whitey? Where are you at? Everything alright?
I've been dropping meat and berries at your place once every 2 days. Hope all is well.

I've been logging in and feeding them every couple of days.  I've got a dose of man flu that the antibiotics don't seem to be helping with and so I'm not spending much time on the PC but I'm not planning on letting the dinos die :D.
