..and it's awful.  It looks like they have had a bulk supply of yellow paint delivered and used it to add yellow stripes to everything.  Bright cartoon was my first thought, like TF2.

The redesign itself is weird too as it gives too many options, so I reckon 5v5 will become a nightmare.

If you are testing it, prepare to 'wha...' a lot.

I didn't think it was too bad on 1st look.

Different spots and angles, and much better looking.

It'll be interesting to see how it plays when everybody is used to it.

I love it. New textures, attention to detail and the whole design side is beautiful. True it is full of colours, but I feel happy there.

As a 5v5 map, it is now horrible due to the number of places to cover/attack.   And I keep waiting for Homer Simpson to leap out from behind a large truck, he'd camouflage real well with all that yellow.

I'm getting a crash to desktop every few min since new update :(. Apparently it's to do with AMD graphic cards and you may be able to get round it running on the lowest graphic settings. There should be a hotfix out soon too

setting shader detail to medium solved the crashes for me

We played it 3 or 4 times this evening.

As it is new, people were running around seeing all the new bits, so hard to get a handle on how it will play,

But tbh I don't think it will play much different to before.

Apart, that is, from using silo a lot more as it is much easier to access.

Half of the rafters in A are inaccessible afaik, so taking A as T should be a bit easier.

Re-taking B as CT should be easier as there is another access.

I love the look of it. Textures are way better IMHO.

I really like it tbh.

The more crisp textures are a major thumbs up for me, it would be nice for all the current supported maps to have a 're-spray'

I do think however they have gone a little to far as for the changes to the layout of the map, it's ok tarting it up but the changes down on B site I'm not too sure about.  Taking a vent away in B and removing toxic I'm not sure is a good move, but I suppose the more we play it quicker it will become normal again.

I do like what they have done with the crates outside though, a few more places to hide and think about.  Also looks like you can only sit above A now one half of the site, I don't think you can sit above the main entrance to A, I could be wrong.

Whether we like its design or not, anything is still a massive improvement on the old version. The old version was ridiculously CT sided which prompted the changes, I doubt this will be the final set of changes and I would expect to see smaller changes in the future. I wouldn't be surprised if they did what they did with cobble and changed the map in small ways until they were happy with its performance as a balanced and fair map.

Anyone up for playing it this evening?

Played it yesterday. I actually liked it a lot! I think getting up the silo and being able to go around the building up top is a big game changer.
Looking forward to playing it more! I wasn't a big fan of the old nuke but I'm liking this one after one play!

Slowly changing my mind on this one.  Tactics evolved to nobody on CT bother with outside (so the changes are mostly irrelevant) and just handle business inside.  Worked like a charm on multiple map posts.  But I did find it more boring like this.

As T, vent rush is still almost unstoppable, and once in B, very difficult for CTs to retake.

The cat walk outside is takeable by Ts if they're quick, although it can be defended effectively from CT Spawn.

Ramp seems a bit easier to defend as CT, with a nice boost spot next to the entrance.

I'm enjoying nuke more, although it was one of my rates anyway.

Others seem to enjoy it too as it has been requested a fair bit in the last few days.
