Another vote also based on a 4 day LAN but also gives us idea who would be more likely to go for a social event

What day would this social day be? Friday seems logical but more of a start at noon type of day.

Any chance of an example of what could be meant by "social event" :flirty:

Paintball is a brilliant idea and it's a great team based game, it's would be brilliant to play this with DMW as it would support team play and we can really see how people shoot and not just them god awful counter strike aim that I haven't mastered yet :flirty:. When I was talking to Toby about this like he said the problem with paintball is that I can be expensive and with LAN going on for a extra day making it a long awsome weekend it would be putting the price up a lot to go to paintball roughly around £300 I would say at a rough guess( that's if you a good shot and don't need tons of paintballs :flirty: . I ain't saying no to the idea I am all for it but we should consider the cost if people are happy to pay then let's go for it :D

Yeah Paintball could be expensive but  nothing is ruled out atm, we are just seeing if there is a want to do a whole day social.  So we will take any ideas that you have, but also remember we are in the deepest darkest Fenns so we may be limited to what we can do and there is transport to think about.

Lets see what numbers we get from this and the other vote then we will make decisions based on that and everything else.

You may well be restricted to playing paintball on the Saturday as most will only run on w/e's. If we have support we could try to organise a private party and that may be possible in the week but I wouldn't bank on it.

Well let's not get ahead of ourselves.  The general question is "if we can do whole day social, would you participate".  Clearly what we do will be guided by what is available and fits into the LAN calendar, budget and other logistical considerations.

I'd be up for a whole day social, sounds fun whatever we'd be doing!

Actually, you won't. I'm a pretty decent shot with a pistol and alright with a rifle, but a paintball marker just isn't meant for aiming at all, especially not rental markers. I've lined up on a target with a Tippman 98, which is supposed to be a decent marker, and fired a double tap just to see the balls go wide to each side of the person. That was a dude 10 meters away.

Paintball is fun, but expensive. A potentially cheaper, less painful and more precise option is if we find a dude with a mobile lasertag setup. That too, is getting ahead of ourselves though.

I'd be satisfied just having another day with you guys, preferably involving a ton of beer, some barbecue and a bit of decent weather. England is usually able to provide one of those three requirements.

Only beer then would be the one that England can definitely provide for you which I think would make most people happy, the paint ball I went to a few year back for my 18 was brilliant, the guns worked really well and accuracy was pretty dam good on them I was very surprised. The only thing that got me was my mask fogged up so for one game I was blind nearly, not a great game and k had to walk out the game area so that I could clean it to be able to see again lol

the social bowling and lasertag we used to have was also fun :D

We're working on the 4 day programme at the moment and aim to fill it with lots of fun stuff!
