Tried DLing last night but every site in the world was busy. I eventuall got a slow (3k/sec on my 2mb cable) so left it running overnight.
Its gonna take 3hours jeez ill think ill get it over night also.

Yup, pretty impressive stuff.
Having a few problems with my new radeon 9800se as some of the features are not available but my biggest worry is my cpu temp its currently at 43 0c(109F) is that any thing to worry about i have an automatic shutdown set. But i will dl that game and give it a go.
43 should be fine for a CPU

Sorry couldn't resist. 43 degrees is as BB says fine for a cpu. But the auto shut down is a good idea.
What's the matter with the 9800?
Some of the programs that came with it are playing up and the tv card part of it doesnt seem to want to work but when ive got some spare time ill try and sort that out. I hope i can get it working again ibut ive just forgoton whats wrong with it :rolleyes: (its early). Ive got an automatic turnoff at 50 0c which i thought was quite high from having quite low temp cpu's in the past but i guess i was a little paranoid maybe i should but it up or should i leave it?
And btw i really enjoyed this farcry demo everything looks so good, dont know about the AI maybe its better in the full game but i was stunned with the detail(good new graphics card at least that bit of its working). Really liked the jeep and the chainguns so cool but was rather short though for a 2 hour dl, but you can see why the file was so big lucky i got a zip version of it :D . Im tempted to get it unless someone has bought it and has negative points/views?
Demo's excellent I think. Bit hard on the old system though. Do recommend you all try it if possible.

took it home and found out it was a dvd rom ..mine is knackered so had to but dvd rom @£30.00...btw make sure ya pc is up to the job its a cpu drainer ;)

I need some help on the volcano part. Im at the bit where there are 284329832 people shooting me and i got to run across.
I worked out to aim at the jumpy ones and run around the rockets. But i just keep dieing. When i get to the door it dont open?

Kill the Fatboys first with your machine gun (aim for their chests and they can't fire back). Then take out the leaping gunners with a sniper rifle. Do all this from the doorway. When you cleared out all you can see then move forward. Depending on how hard you've set the diffuculty level you should find two more Fatboys behind the big door. Kill them, throw the switch inside and return to the lift.

I was playing it until my little accident ( see banter :( ). Great game and some of the best AI i've seen. What level did play it at, I started on challenging and I think it could have been a mistake :whistle:

i killed the 2 monkey type things then i get to her and she just stands there like a tin of milk......
ive even thrown stones at the dum bint but nothin........ :(
As soon as I killed the two monkeys it went to a cut scene... :eyebrow:
There is a bug in the level programming.... :o
If you are playing in 'easy' mode then the two monkeys that should be in the same room as Val (after killing the two monkeys in the previous room) don't spawn at all.
This means you can't kill them to save her and complete the end of level conditions, you are basically stuck! :(
As this is the last part of the level and you can bypass the cutscene (which basically tells you about a radio dampening field with three transmitters that need to be destroyed and gets you and Val separated again).
Go to console and type:
\map boat
Unfortunately this also has the effect of losing the guns you have collected and replacing them with some default ones.
Don't worry, there is a nice new assault weapon waiting for you on the second island! :D
It seemed a good game but my pc couldn't handle it at lan i will wait until after my exams then i will try it!
If your playing on easy you deserve to get stuck :narnar:
