We''re organising yet another dMw trip to the Great British Beer Festival which this year is 9th - 13th August 2016 at Olympia London.

on sale now. Tickets - £11 (non-member) or £9 (CAMRA member). Includes a free program.
....and we've announced the meetup this early so that our
international drinkers (you know who you are) can once again take advantage of the cheap flights and even cheaper beer prices to save some money by drinking with us in the UK!
We'll probably meet when the doors open on Friday 12th August at 12.00pm and then we'll grab a table and continuing onwards into the evening. So if you fancy a few pints of fabulous real ale, speciality beers, ciders or perries, tasty nosh then please publicise your interest by posting in this thread your intention to meet up with other dastardly dMw Beer Drinkers!

Currently working on an arrival time - the rail network seems to be working against me this time due to 'work being carried out on the line', so my normal direct train is now a 2 change journey! :angry:
Still aiming to be in there before 12.00pm to grab a nice table.

Will you lot be buying drinks for the LAN from here if there is any that are amazing ? i mean like buying kegs if poeple put in money ?
Yes we'll be choosing the beers that will be at the LAN from those that we taste during the day.
There's a thread in the LAN section about the sponsors kegs and we hope to have at least 5 sponsored kegs which will sell to dMw for £1.50 per pint.
We'll need to check that the selected beers are available for the LAN dates and we'll liaise with the hotel and their suppliers to make sure we get our order.

Now to get Gortex to decipher his tasting notes so that we can pull together a TOP 10 to work through with the hotel for the LAN to see which ones they can get!
Btw, monster fun yesterday and great company again. I lost count of how many beers we tasted, but it was quite a few. I think my downfall was when PEN suggested we get extra pint glasses so that we could have a beer AND a cider each round! :crazy:

P.s. untappd has 16 :blink: checkins. One was admittedly just a taster of a cider, but made up the numbers by drinking all the stout and porter that you two rejected :rolleyes:
Yep great time had and very pleased I made some notes along with my untapped entries as not sure after the 17 beers tried and 3 or 4 ciders I would remember a thing.
Some cracking beer drunk and in at least one case a beer that will never be recommended. Will put a list up of everything we tried and which beers won the medals in case anyone is interested.
Big thanks to Pen for his cracking idea of a wine carrier to be used at a beer festival. A few details added and it made life much easier along with great chats with other drinkers at the bar of our brilliance.
