On Yer bike..
1. Travel far from anything you hold dear.
2. Dig a tunnel into the dirt and rock and stay quiet - seems to work, but the tunnel has to be relatively far from the surface and you probably shouldn't tease a feral and then open the roof up.
3. Log off like the coward you know you are - does work, and we all do it if we aren't in the best place when 21:59 rolls on, but this doesn't stop base destruction should the horde decide they don't like your new curtains.
lol..
Day 42 and everyone left the server. Not wanting it to leave the horde to someone who just logged in this morning, I thought I'd brave it on my own.
I jumped on my bike and zoomed around the lower part of the map and was waiting for the horde to find me. I even went slow to see if it would spawn near me.. No joy. Pen's place which is close to me and mine were unscathed.
Might be worth thinking about.
I did get hit by a z'd that forced me to get off the bike and apply a bandage. Remember once you're on a bike you can't even pull up the map..

But you can fall through it
The horde seem to have a few behavioural traits
1 - I think they spawn in 1 specific location only
2 - They spawn near change in the map (building, mining, etc)
3 - ?
Anything else we have noticed?
Ummm Nothing is the answer kake and I just got killed in my places even with all my stuff built kit still there took Whiety Pen and Oldie to clear it out. all kit was saved
The trick to it all are underground bases, floating bases with stupid amounts of spikes underneath, or bases surrounded by free fall drops to bedrock.
Once you get to the point where you can build one of the above, hordes become irrelevant.
There are quite a bit of good places for the above in Navezgane, random maps might be a bit tricky.
Don't log in and find someone left the server at 21:48 at a 7-days event.
