I'm hoping to record some of the Wednesday night customs in the near future to sort out some dMw Overwatch videos (because why not).
If anyone is keen to help - able to capture game footage + audio (Shadowplay does this for you afaik) or able to help with the post capture editing, drop me a PM or reply here!
We will make it obvious when we will be recording so don't worry thinking you're being filmed unawares, that will not happen (and should not happen - you need permission to film people or their comms within this community).
Drop me a line if you want to help!
See you soon :flirty:
I was filming Gorion's unconscious character in my hovel in Ark last night after he logged off there. I couldn't ask permission but it was my house so I thought why not. :D
I was going to remove his clothes but decided that was taking it too far ;-)
What you and Gorion do in your own time is none of my business mate.
I know I ain't around that much (blame work) but if I am around I guess I could give recording a go, I'm using Open broadcast software to record, it seems to work out okay when I've tried it.
I've generally found that OBS is good for streaming but struggles to record higher quality videos, if you're managing to get videos of Overwatch with no frame drops then please post your settings when you've got the chance because I (and presumably some others) would find it quite helpful.
I currently use LoiLo to record gameplay but if anyone knows of any better free game capture software then please let me know - will be trying out Shadowplay soon to see how it compares.
Shadowplay has the advantage, (like XBox actually) of buffer recording as you play and you just hit a key to keep the last X minutes of footage. Really handy when you realise you wished you had recorded something in the game.
Happy to record and give an edit a go Chaos.
Let me know when you intend to capture and I'll make sure I'm all set up to go. More than happy to spectate for the evening to get better footage too :)
Great stuff man! Thanks. We should only need a few of us to get some decent footage together :)
I'll keep you updated but as of right now - I won't be playing Overwatch this week.
For some reason, I get constant errors on Battle.net. It crashes when I open it an no combination of reinstall, wipe cache etc seems to solve the issue.
If I knew how to record I would happily record some footage but I am nth sure hero to do it sadly else I would capture our over watch games given then everyone is okay with it
For me if i am in your game that your recording I really don't want voice recorded. Don't mind the number of times I die or how and by who. But not in game or TS thanks you :)
Yep, no comms are going to be recorded at all.
Will post up more details on the recording soon. It will NOT be this coming Wednesday (20th). Will make it all very clear to all playing exactly when and what we are recording.
Hooray!
I think she be fixed. Currently installing Overwatch as I type. Things are looking promising.
If you're still after someone to record and edit - I should be back in the runnings. I am however an AMD user so cannot use any of the nVidia stuff. Will take a look at some of the suggestions in this thread and try them out.
Cool stuff man let me know. I'm looking at gathering footage soon.. It will only be game footage and audio. No TS.
Righto who is available to record Wednesday?
Only game footage and audio, as a spectator / floating camera in a custom game.
I know jewelz can, and mugi maybe you too? With me that would make 3 of us recording. This is assuming we have enough for a full custom game, ofc!
Jay is gonna help too, so we will be recording some stuff this Wednesday - I will stress again this will ONLY be game footage and audio, no comms.
I will post up about it on Wednesday and make things very clear Wednesday night :)
I've figured out how to record game audio without teamspeak.. all rejoice!
this will work for any application that allows you to select the audio output device.
you'll need both http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Voicemeeter/ and http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Cable/index.htm
- install both, reboot.
- make "Voicemeeter Input" your default windows playback device.
- within voicemeeter, set "Hardware input 1" to "Cable Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)".
- set "Hardware out" to your output device (speakers or headphones).
- ensure audio output within teamspeak is set to "Cable Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)".
- goto "Menu" within voicemeeter and enable on startup, and save settings.
