Hazy Rays by
Hogan'sSponsored by: Gorion
Thank you Gorion!Hogan's is not quite a one-man band, but it still a very small artisan producer of individually-crafted ciders made only from locally grown apples. Cider enthusiast, Allen Hogan, is based in the Stratford-upon-Avon area and started making cider in 1985 and still produces the cider to the same style as the very first batch. Hazy Rays is unfiltered, unfined, gluten-free and vegan-friendly. At a comfortable 4.0% ABV, it's also as close to a session cider as you'll ever find!
Hogan's has been winning awards for its medium-sweet ciders since 2011, most recently the
Gold Medal at the
Great Lakes International Cider & Perry Competition. Hazy Rays is a deliciously light, fruity and moreish fresh-pressed hazy cider. This best seller carries an abundant appley aroma to the nose, with more than a hint of citrus and berry delicately balanced against the apple sweetness on the palate.
Woohoo more fruity goodness.
Thanks Gorion for this.
Wow, that's nice and light. I'm up for trying some of this, maybe get me into Cider! Thanks buddy!

Thanks Gorion :D
Nice one Gorion :thumb: thanks mate :)
You're welcome
Excellent! Thank you, sir.
Excuse the thread necromancy, but during this lockdown one does as one must. So I did as one must and ordered some Hazy Rays from the Hogans Cider website. It got delivered in 2 days and Dex and I have already given it a good hammering

Totally agree #supoprtlocal all the way.
Shamelessly promoting Uiltje Breewing in Haarlem, they do mail order and even subscritions. They don't do Cider (well not often, once in a year) but their IPA, IIPAs, Wit and Wiesen, Stouts, the whole 9 yrds. Amazing beer.

good resurrection timing - recommended to a cider-only colleague at work who almost immediately bought a case

...am very tempted, but have just stocked up with a few cases from beer52's cyberfest (Edinburgh is relatively local...) event so will add this one to the list for once I've drunk all that lot (possibly next week at the current rate...:whistling2:)

I have since ordered 3 × 10ltr boxes from lilleys ciders after having really enjoyed the festival bottle package a week or so ago. Probably going to take me a while to get through that

What have you both ordered out of curiosity? like to know what flavours people are loving, so far the lemon and lime one is a very big hit with me but then I have a good sweet tooth, :lmfao:

I ordered the Apples and Pears, Lemon and Lime and Fire Dancer
I would have ordered the Rhubarb but i think its just a little bit too sweet for me, although tastes amazing
I'll be honest I can't stand the Lilley's ciders, my local always has 3 or 4 on and I've never found one I like, almost all are too sweet for me or just strike me as random flavours for the sake of it.
Thatcher's Gold is pushing it for maximum sweetness for me - a couple of jobs ago though my daily commute used to take me past Thatchers and there are various varieties that they only sell direct from their shop there, you took in your 5l container and they refilled it for you - now that was a fun few months!
been drinking Old mout cider, pineapple and rasberry and kiwi and lime only 4%, but a nice flavour.
