Some more videos that should be considered essential viewing :P
The first considers 'trash damage'. This is damage that hurts the enemy but does not result in a kill. In a lot of cases all this does is pump the ults of the enemy support characters (you damage their tank, mercy heals it, mercy gains ult). Trash damage can sometimes have benefit (it can dissuade enemies from making a push, for example) but a lot of the time you're just feeding your enemy ults, which is bad news.
The second video is related to this... Gold medals. We have all done this - 'We lost but I had Gold DPS so clearly you guys are the problem, damn you team'. You see a LOT of this in solo play. It can directly relate to trash damage, as doing lots of useless damage WILL get you a gold medal, but it won't always help the team or pick off the characters causing you a problem.
Aaaand finally, focus fire. This is pretty simple but perhaps needs to be looked at anyway as sometimes can be very easy to miss out, which can make a big difference to the end result. Normally the characters to focus first are the supports, as without them the tanks and DPS character are weak. After the supports the DPS characters tend to be next, as they have smaller health pools so can be removed quickly. Of course, this needs to be adjusted if, for example, the enemy are coming for your supports. Healers must be protected, they make a big difference to sustaining the plays.
Look closely at where the winston places his shield in the start of the video - this is great winston play IMO, the shield is not just for you but more for your team to 'create space' for them to move into. This way it works a bit like Rein's shield to get through their front line.
What do you guys think?
great vids, thanks chaos, should be part of our OW mantra, my junkrat is probably the king of trash damage, but on the other hand he often does tidy up afterwards :D
