Looking for some info if possible please guys
I am currently with BT and never had any issues - i Have Broadband Infinity and have no issues whatsoever with Wireless Internet speeds
But just recently when using Powerline adapters (BT powerline 500) - I am struggling to get above 10Mbps.
Any thoughts?
i use tplink powerline adapters and i usally get about 30-40mbps u tryed testing ur connection using speedtest.net?
Ive had no issues until recently.
Always had the stated speed 52Mbps+ on both ethernet (through powerlines) and wifi.
Its just an issue thats started within last 10days.
Ive trawled the net looking for solutions - ive even tried 3 or 4 different adapters (i have 4 available to me but only use the 2...1 at hub, 1 at pc) but still no joy.
Have also tried factory reset of homehub as well...no effect.
Was just a general query if anyone had any thoughts.

Only a guess but have you bought our plugged in any other new kit recently?
If the powerline adaptors are sending a signal around the ring main then presumably there's potential for interference from other devices on the ring.

It was literally an overnight thing....nothing new has changed in the house.... only thing i initially thought of was the win 10 update that was breaking Internet for some users.....but ive even rolled back to before it was installed and still no joy.

Are you on good terms with the neighbours maybe see if they have plugged something I that is interfering with your Power line adapters?

Its a detached house so surely would be free from outside interference?
As i say dunno whats happened but its frustrating.

It's most likely something that's changed in your house.
- New item plugged in (e.g. christmas tree/other lights? New usb-charger?)
- Something normally off that's been left on (e.g. electric heater or lights esp if on a dimmer) or just moved from one plug to another
- something on the blink/failing (any psu)
- ...mouse chewing through cables?
Anything outside would have to be pretty dramatic I'd have thought, although it could be the mains supply itself, I wouldn't bet on it.
If you're bored/fed-up you could try turning everything electric off and then on again :flirty:
Good luck with the interference hunting!
is your powerline adapter plugged into thee wall?. or on a 4 gang extension?
if not try plugging into directly into the wall socket and see if your speed increases, gimme a call on skype or ts if your still having problems m8.
Thanks for the help guys - will try whats been suggested.
Powerlines are directly into the socket and not on an extension. Hopefully get it sorted. ðŸ¤"
