Shouldn't the posts LAN XXXI - Booking Thread
LAN XXXI - Transport Thread
LAN XXXI - Roommate needed!
be in the dMw LAN XXXI area and not the Supporting Members Chat area?
Sorry to jump in old habits. No mate it is opened to Supporting members first and ints then after a short while it is opened to the rest of the community.
Thanks for the heads-up though and for checking :thumbsup2:
So it's being done different to last time(s) then, where the posts sit i mean?
LAN XXX Booking Thread in dMw LAN XXX (the BIG one!)
LAN XXXI - Booking Thread in Supporting Members Chat
Do they get moved later or something?
Yes TwoBad, Toby moves then on the general release date to the normal LAN topics.
Ah cool, not noticed that before

Yeah, knew that. But i just thought the post stayed in the same place.

Or not this time i guess, when supporting members book in non-supporting members. But if we're not full then it doesn't matter (?)
Supporting members get priority over any non-supporting member regardless of what people have requested or tried to book. If, miraculously, this LAN got booked out by SM's before it went live then any non-supporting member would be bumped. Simples.
As you say, this LAN isn't going to be full so it's less of an issue but certainly for the Autumn LAN non-supporting members would not (should not) be added to the list until goes to general bookings. We'd also normally request that people sign up for the forum if they're coming to the LAN and book their spot themselves.
So yup, you are correct but please bear with us as we're in a transitional phase with LAN administration.
Yes consider this a misstep by myself.. I let tags in as he is bunking with Myopic who is supporting, and knew it wasn't going to cause a problem with numbers during this (inevitably smaller) spring lan. He asked if 2 more non supporting could book too.. so at least I said no to that bit :woot2:
But you're right it's not 'policy' and suppose it could set the wrong example, so I should not have. I shall bare this in mind next time and will be more careful :crying:
I love the 'transitional phase' bit btw, it's a very diplomatic way of saying Ben was a muppet :woot2:
